I originally purchased this for my niece who is turning one. However, when the package arrived my husband and 2 children, 8 and 6, couldn’t stop drooling over it so we opened it and they play with it constantly. It is a great gift for all ages.

We purchased the Melissa and Doug Wooden Sushi set along with the Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box for our sons at Christmas (see my Amazon review). It was great to mix and match foods from two cultures!
Here’s four reasons we enjoyed this toy so much:
1. It was perfect for quiet play and indoor play during winter.
2. We reinforced good eating habits during meals with the playset.
