My toddler loves this easel! With a magnetic blackboard, dry-erase whiteboard and a large roll of paper (included) to pull over the whiteboard, it is a wonderful place for kids to be creative by learning to draw and paint.
As a parent, I also like its convenience: it folds up, the paper roll is easy to use, the trays remove for easy cleaning, and you can adjust its height depending on how tall your child is.
As other reviewers commented, however, prominent downsides are:
- Some cheap components, in particular the plastic screw covers.
- The trays are not very well secured, so you have to make sure your toddler doesn’t try to sit on them.
- The frame is unfinished wood, giving the easel a somewhat cheap look & feel. I may paint or stain the frame to give it a more finished look.
Overall, I highly recommend it.

We got this for our toddlers for Christmas and they love it. It’s loads of fun and has everything I was looking for in an easel for them. A chalk board, a dry erase board that is also magnetic (most of the other easels on the market are not), adjustable height, big trays for art supplies, a paper roll in between the two sides (less enticing for toddlers to unroll all of the paper) and a cutter that is also nicely placed/ hidden. The only drawback was the directions for assembling – they were not very helpful and did not even picture or explain the bar that hides and covers the cutter.

I bought this Easel because it says “loaded w/ accessories” in the description. It was suppose to come w/ paint cups, paint, chalk, crayons, brushes & a drop cloth & it came with none of the above. I received it the day before my Son’s birthday thinking it came with these things because it said it did & he couldn’t play with it because it did not. Before you order this realize it’s just the easel. I contacted Amazon but they said I had to contact the seller. So I did contact Roundtable & they said Amazon has the description wrong. They were suppose to call me back in regards to me getting the accessories. . . . . . well still waiting for that phone call.

This easel has been a great addition to our home! Love that the dry erase board is also magnetic (this was the only easel we found that has this feature and was our main driver to purchase this product), as our 2 year old is having so much fun playing with her magnetic letters on it. Easy to put together (approx 15 minutes) which is a plus!

I got this for my daughters 4th birthday. An easel was recommended from her teacher(physical ther. & motor skills) for her to use her muscles in her wrist instead of using her shoulder muslces. She loves it but, just as any other toy it is new and fun for a cupole of days than it is just a toy like all of the rest. we take it outside. I picked this alex brand over the melissa and doug brand because it is also magnetic. . . this is great for hand/eye cordnation using their pointing fingers to pinch/pry off the magnets (not included)We are playing school we take turns as the teacher and is also a fun way to learn her abcs and to trace what I write on the board. I brought the melissa and doug acessory kit (paper roll, paint cups, chalk,eraser etc: ) the paint cups and roll of paper fit and work perfectly with this alex easel. Putting it together was simple. The only thing is . . . . they do not give you extra bolts/screws. . . many companys do slupply extras. . . when it was time to screw in the yellow paper cutter the bolt was not long enough using the correct size as stated in the directions (2. 25) had the same problem with with the other side with the chalkboard (directions say to use the 1. 50) I ended up going to home depot and brought extra screws (2 inches and 2. 50) not much of a headache nor did it break my pocket. . . just pop em’ in and it works wonderfully
