Customer Review: Just like master replicas
I received my fx lightsaber and from what i can tell from videos of master replicas, these are the same quality, construction and appearance. It’s like hasbro just took over the designs of them and squarely kept to them. The battery hatch is a bit difficult to slide open on first try, but if you remove the arrow sticker it will easily slide off. It’s durable and the sounds are nice. The hilt is made mostly of metal. Comes with a sturdy display stand. If you had been waiting on these, curious if they matched up to the older master replica ones as I had been, I’d say your wait is over. Go buy one.
Customer Review: an elegant weapon for a more civilized time
I was hoping that these Hasbro sabers would be a bit better than the Master Replica ones. I originally had an Episode III Obi Wan MR one but the blade had so much crud on the inside surface I took it back to the store. Wish I’d kept it though because the MR ones are worth $200-$300 now. This new Hasbro one I bought isn’t quite that bad but it’s still cut some crud. It’s also not nearly as loud as the MR Episode IV Luke saber that I’ve got. The sound emitter is a lot smaller though. I noticed that it’s got 2007 stamped all over it so it’s almost certainly the exact same saber as the Master Replica one. Probably tons of them sitting around the warehouse in China. Kudos to Amazon for packing this thing so the orignal packaging didn’t get messed up in shipping. I had to ask them specifically to do this though so take that as a word of advice for those of you concerned about collectibility. Overall, I love these things. Just what an adult nerd with a disposable income needs! I wish Hasbro was doing the green Episode VI Luke one. Maybe a 2nd wave will come out….. Buy Now from Trusted Amazon.com Click Here
