Customer Review: Minor Dissapointment But Still Love It
I have been searching and shopping for the Force FX Lightsabers for quite some time and i finally broke down and bought 4 of them. This was my second one I bought. I first received the Master Replicas Vader one, which is amazing, and suprisingly this one holds its own against that. The Anakin one is far brighter, because red is a dark color anyway. And the hilt is metal and not too heavy. The only thing that bothered me is that the hilt is the same design as the luke skywalker one, but the picture shows it was different. I wouldnt have ordered the Master Replicas Luke one if i knew it was the same hilt. So now ill have two that look exactly the same. But I love these things so im sure ill get over it. This things really do add to a great collection.
Customer Review: Lightsaber FX
This is a really cool thing to own if you’re a big Star Wars fan. I got it in the mail a few days ago and have been having fun with it since.
The metal hilt is very durable and well constructed. It’s not an exact movie replica, the hilt is a little bigger than the ones they used in the movies because of all the electronics they had to stuff in there. But it’s not overly huge or anything, like those cheap $15 you can buy at any toy store.
The blade is just awesome. The bright blue shines and glows even in well lit environments. But when you turn off all the lights and turn it on, it just looks really cool the way it glows in the dark. I thought it was also cool how when you turn it on or off, you can see the glow of the blade expanding and retracting as if it was a “real” lightsaber.
Now as someone else said, this isn’t really the type of toy you just want to go around swinging madly and stage your own Anakin VS Obi-Wan fights (even though it will make a clashing noise when the blade is tapped). That’s not to say it’s not durable, because it is very well constructed, but I just don’t think it would be wise to go bashing the blade into stuff.
It sounds really awesome too, just like in the movies. And the batteries (it takes 3 AA batteries [not included]) are quick and easy to install, you don’t even need a screwdriver or anything.
I really see this as more of a collector’s item (it even comes with a stand to proudly display it), something to show off to your friends, or maybe as a really good costume piece for halloween. I’m a bit of a sword collector myself, so I kind of see this as a nice addition to my collection.
If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to hold the power of a lightsaber in your hand, this is probably the closest thing you’re ever gonna get. Buy Now from Trusted Amazon.com Click Here
