Customer Review: pure scam
I will delve into the conditions in which I received mine later. Let’s speak about the product first.

It is advertised as a 3 channel (yes, THREE channels) radio controlled helicopter. Utterly false; as mine came with the canopy loosened, I could see inside it a receiver with three channel output connectors. But ONLY TWO cables connected; one for the SINGLE main rotor motor, and another for the tail motor.

This is a double main rotor helicopter, with counter rotating blades, to balance torque. So far so good. The bad part is that both rotors are mechanically connected (one to the other). It’s impossible to spin one faster than the other, in order to get orientation changes. These are accomplished with the tail rotor. The net result is that you need, and use, one channel for throttle (going up/down); and another for orientation (left/right), by means of the tail rotor. And there is no way in which (even allowing for a lot of tinkering) this machine could respond to three channels.

The transmitter is made of the cheapest plastic and decals that I have ever seen in an RC or infrared controller (actually, I have seven; or eight, if you count this one -but I intend to return it as soon as possible-). The antenna does not screw into the body of the controller (surely, because a loose nut inside, that I don’t want to investigate further). What ever be the case, putting eight fresh AA batteries in it, it does not switch on. Or I should be more precise: When you switch it on, you get a quick blink on the power on red led, that remains dead thereafter, and nothing else.

Mine arrived not very well packaged. On handling the packaging box (before opening it), it sounded as if things were loose inside; which in fact was the case. The copter was tied to the foam box with a thin iron wire that, by cutting into the foam, got loosened. The cover of the transmitter battery compartment floated loose too. Finally, I saw a tiny bit of black something (a small piece, one centimetre long and 1 mm thick, with the shape of a hockey stick -more or less-) After careful observation, my brother discovered that a rigid black plastic cage, that protects the innards of the tail motor, had lost one of the “bars”.

Well, I could live with these small defects (packaging and delivery related problems), were it not for the UNACCEPTABLE main defects: It is not the kind of product advertised. And the transmitter seems to be a load of junk.

Customer Review: Not a toy
This is not a toy. It is a great helicopter and wonderful fun to fly. I crashed it into my fence and after I retrieved it, it fired right up and flew again. THE ONE PROBLEM IS……AND IT IS A BIG PROBLEM, the instructions on how the remote control unit works are WORTHLESS. They are not even for this unit. The manufacturer has a great product and then drives you up the wall because he won’t spend 2 cents for good instructions.
