I gave this puzzle to my twenty year old puzzle fanatic daughter and she loved it! She has always wanted one of these “puzzles within a puzzle” and this one did not disappoint. In fact, I think it was more challenging than she expected! I’d purchase another one in the series for her birthday.
Customer Review: Coffee Caper
This was my least favorite, although I’ve only put together A, E, and F. The pictures for the 2 puzzles were colorful and different, which made distinguishing them a bit easier, but not too easy. The crime scene was the hardest of the 2 puzzles. The mystery that went with them was very funny, with lots of coffee based puns. It was not a hard case to solve with a few key bits of puzzle info to help.
It only took me about 7 hours to put both puzzles together and then solve the mystery.

We do work (kind of like factory jobs), but we can’t be working all the time. Now, coloring books, magazines, and puzzles… ya, those are nice, but it’s not very productive (for the individual) if that’s all they ever do in their activity time. Here are some things that we plan to do or have done already: cooking, making silly putty, paste colored packing peanuts on our official poster (banner), made a paper chain, listen to stories on records and cassettes (it bings, and one turns the page for the rest of the story), puzzles, drawing, etc. We also go outside a lot too, and play with balls and sidewalk chalk. I need creative ideas, and yes art projects, but I also need ACTIVITIES, like cooking and making silly putty for example. Lastly, and for all of you professional elementary school teachers, you would know what I mean by this, I would ask if you could take into consideration “process over product.”
