This is a fun toy. What I really like about it is that it’s possible for younger kids (ages 2 and up) to play. It’s also cheaper than the wooden train sets from Learning Curve.

Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway – Water Tower Figure 8 Set Little conductors will have loads of fun with this high-quality figure-eight railroad set from Thomas & Friends. Made of wood, the track features an elevated bridge in the center and a water tower where Thomas can re-fuel; the “water” rises and falls with flicks of the spout. Sir Topham Hatt and a red cargo car keep Thomas company. Other items in the 25-piece set include a railroad-crossing sign, a stop sign, and a tree. The instructions clearly diagram how to assemble the track. The box has a handle and makes a good carrying case. –Andy Boynton
Customer Review: Quickly forgotten
Of the 400 gifts my two year old nephew got, this one didn’t get anymore attention then the rest. He spent more time playing with the packaging than my toy. Why do we feel a need to purchase these material items for such young children? Anyway, after a few days this and the rest of the Thomas gifts became his clear favorite! And it warmed my heart. Which may explain why we do continue to buy these toys.

My son LOVES trains right now. We got this as a starter for his wooden train set. He loves the track & the water tower. Worth the money!
