Moneywise Kids
Moneywise Kids Created by a volunteer math aide in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Moneywise Kids contains two simple, fun games that will help kids understand how money works, in terms of dollar value and spending power. In the first game, Bill Maker, kids take turns rolling the dice and earning dollars that are commensurate with the numbers that come up: roll a 2 and a 6, for instance, and you get $8. As they accrue wealth with each turn, players exchange smaller bills for larger ones until someone winds up with $100. In the second game, Bill Breaker, each player starts with $100 and earns more money with each turn, but players must also draw “moneywise markers”–bills for such real-life expenses as food, medical care, and taxes–and make payments along the way. And watch out for those hard-luck chips that mean big bills. The player who collects all six markers and still has $100 in savings is the winner. The game is lively and only lightly competitive, with an accent on grasping the mysteries of dollars and cents. –Tom Keogh
Customer Review: Gave as a gift
I gave this as a gift. It was requested by a 9 year old. Cant rate it too well, didn’t get feed back if they liked it or not.
Customer Review: Moneywise Kids
I purchased this game for my 5 year old girl. She seems to like it. It is a game that she is willing to play, but it is never her first pick. It does seem to be a good way to introduce money, but if you want your child to understand the value of money I don’t think this game will help. Ex: health care is $10 and a place to live is only $30 (I wish!!)

Square Root Games 0009 Dirty Dozen Puzzle in Natural Finish Solid Hardwood
Square Root Games 0009 Dirty Dozen Puzzle in Natural Finish Solid Hardwood Potentially a permanent fixture in the homes of puzzle enthusiasts, this challenging pastime consists of a solid-backed oak frame and 14 oak pieces of varying sizes and shapes that slide around within it. One of the pieces is narrower than the others and can easily slip through a slot located in the lower, right-hand corner of the frame. Far less easy is maneuvering the Chosen Piece there. The object of the puzzle–of which there are a dozen variations of increasing complexity (43 moves for the first, 263 moves for the last!)–is to deduce which pieces need to slide where so that the logical route for the thin piece reveals itself. If you just can’t figure some of the puzzlers out, solutions are available for $5 through a California address. –Tom Keogh

Candy Land – Electronic Hand-Held
Candy Land – Electronic Hand-Held Candy Land comes to life in this electronic game for young kids. Six games of varying degrees of complexity are included: the simplest challenges kids to catch falling plums in a basket, and the hardest has players looking for matching gum drops beneath rows of peanut brittle. Other games ask kids to repeat sequences of flashing lights or to count the number of visible lollipops on the game’s screen. Candy Land character Mr. Mint leads players through all the fun, helping them develop skills in counting, sorting, etc. Youngsters who don’t have any preconceived ideas that this game could be hard should have no problem figuring it all out very quickly. –Tom Keogh
Customer Review: If they make a 2nd version, it HAS to be better!
This one is very boring, because the graphics are bad, and they move very slow, and that candy-cane-clown-guy’s voice sounds like he’s saying “Muh blah to blah doo-too-blah!”
They should make a sacond version with BETTER graphics, sounds, and an on/off switch, and maybe the kids and parents won’t get bored as quick as they do when they play this game!
Customer Review: Even worse than the Potato Head Electronic Handheld Game
I remember getting this for Christmas as a child, and I thought it stunk! Mr. Mint’s voice was too lame and hard to underetand, and there’s no stupid off switch!!!!!!!! I don’t reccomand this to anybody, except for garbage cans!

U.S. Map Puzzle
U.S. Map Puzzle This 84-piece jigsaw puzzle assembles into the 48 contiguous United States, plus Alaska and Hawaii. The pieces are large enough to be safe for curious little ones and make for a fun and truly hands-on lesson in geography. The mapping is detailed enough to highlight major cities and towns, as well as rivers and some topography. To test your smarts, try constructing it without the benefit of a map. –Tom Keogh
Customer Review: good
ok good for my children
Customer Review: Map o’ Fun
I was looking for a puzzle that would have cut outs of the states, for my child to learn the states shapes. This is a pretty good deal, although some of the smaller upper north east states are merged together. It’s easy to put together, except for the lower and side ocean blue areas of Hawaii and Alaska, a child younger than 7 may need help.

Electronic Hand Held Yahtzee
Electronic Hand Held Yahtzee Now everyone can enjoy the classic game of Yahtzee in a nifty electronic version. Small enough to fit in your hand, this addictive game lets you “roll” the dice with the click of a button. Press “hold” to keep the ones you want, and then roll again. Get 5 of a kind, and you’ve got “Yahtzee.” A row of options at the top (“3 of a kind,” “small straight,” etc.) is available to select preferred scoring for each round. like the original, this fun game can be a bit noisy with its sound effects and victory song, but it does include a silence feature. –Tom Keogh
Customer Review: Bad New Design
This new design is terrible. It is hard to hold, see and very cheaply made. It only lasted 2 weeks before breaking. The old design is a great, durable game that lasted a couple years.
Customer Review: Good value game
We have owned several handheld Yahtzee games over the years. They all tend to wear or break over time, but that’s not a big surprise for this price range. The is certainly great, because who doesn’t enjoy Yahtzee? They have changed the buttons a bit from their previous models in both orientation and type (used to be more of a rubber material instead of plastic). I like the newer design (thinner, white, shiny plastic).
