Customer Review: My boy’s favorite toy!
My son received this Knob Puzzle as a gift for his first birthday, and he loves it! The pieces are very easy for him to manage, and despite the toy’s simplicity, he can’t get enough of it. He’s partial to the horse, and insists on taking it to his crib each night (it’s removed promptly when he fades out!). The puzzle provides more entertainment than I expected, and the excellent quality is consistent with the rest of the Melissa & Doug toys in our household. Overall, a great gift for small toddlers!
Customer Review: Dangerous toy for children
I was excited to buy this puzzle for my young son and he enjoyed playing with it for the short time we had it. However, since the puzzle is made from cheap laminated/layered wood, the puzzle piece backings began to splinter and rip almost immediately. As such, this toy represents a pretty serious hazard to young children. It’s not even well-designed: the pieces are very thick and tightly fitted into their slots, making it difficult to pull them out in any direction except directly upwards. Very disappointing overall.

Customer Review: Not a good choice…
My house has about 20 Melissa & Doug puzzles, and we’ve been pleased with every one of them, until this purchase. The puzzle consists of 5 pieces that are put together to form the circle. The pieces are all exactly the same, so it is very easy for a child to do. Then, they match the animal shape with a piece, then fit the two pieces at the center. It’s nice that it is pretty self-correcting and a child would have success doing this by him/herself. If you are looking for any kind of challenge or learning opportunity, this puzzle is not it. My daughter just turned two, and had the puzzle mastered in about 2 days (to the point that she doesn’t want to play with it). Hope this info helps you with your purchase. : )
Customer Review: Zoo Friends a winner
Our 2 year old grand daughter found this to be a wonderful puzzle. It’s size makes the pieces manageable for little hands and the animals she loves in the zoo are delightfully represented. Is is big enough for ease but small enough to work on while she kneels on the floor. Thick pieces and nice rounded designs means it will be around for a while. Customer Review: Great Early Puzzle
My daughter received this puzzle for her first birthday. Although she gravitates toward animals, she still finds this puzzle interesting. The painted pictures underneath that correlate with the vehicle is helpful in putting the pieces back. The big chunky knobs make the pieces easy to hold. The knobs are screwed on from the back securely. My daughter’s favorite hobby is banging the pieces together! The puzzle is holding up well.
