Star Wars Battle Pack: ARC-170 Elite Squad
Star Wars Battle Pack: ARC-170 Elite Squad A small number of the Republic starflett’s ARC-170 starfighters are crewedby the elite clone troopers, trained to go deep into enemy territory on the most dangerous scouting missions and raids. These squads undergo advanced “aggressive reconnaissance” training taught by Advanced Recon Commandos to equip them with the skills necessary to survive the varied and treacherous mission profiles to which they are assigned. The ARC-170 Elite Squads served with distinction during the Outer Rim Sieges, providing crucial intelligence and support during campaigns on the major Separatist homeworlds. This exclusive Star Wars Battle Pack was available for a short time in late 2007.
Customer Review: Clone Squad Expansion
Star Wars is a toy machine franchise. No matter how little screentime a character received (if any) there will surely be a toy made for them. This assortment of the ARC-170 squad features two re-painted Clone Troopers with little flame designs on their shoulders and are a welcome edition to your growing Clone Army. Next is an astromech droid that makes the bold choice of brilliant purplish blue with red dome color scheme thus proving they can take a regular R2-D2 figure and by slapping different colors on it, continue to sell it. Also included are two ARC-170 pilots. Basically this is not a good figure aesthetically. Even when they were sold individually, the uniform is bland and the paint on the head/face is terrible. So unless are build a massive Clone Army diorama, the pilot figures from this set will be relegated to the toybox cantina (along with the likes of Queen Amidala in formal dress, pregnant Padme, break apart Grievous, and Muftak), rarely seeing the light of day. The graphics on the packaging is great so if kept in box, it looks much better.
