Ban on Chinese toys, Kids’ Story

3260346159 a0b8f6f9fe m Ban on Chinese toys, Kids Story

Government of India has released the importation of prohibited products ‘Toys’ from China ITC codes 9501, 9502, 9503 Schedule – I of ITC (HS) Classifications of export and import items. The prohibition was repealed with effect from 23 January 2009 to come and remain in force for six months. Ban toys from China include the following:

9501 Wheeled toys designed to be ridden by children (for example, tricycles, scooters, pedal cars); dolls representing only human Pram 9502 9503 Other toys; reduced (“scale”) models and similar entertainment, working, all Puzzles kinds

9501 Wheeled toys designed to be ridden by children (for example, tricycles, scooters, pedal cars); doll carriage

9502 dolls representing only human

9503 Other toys; reduced (“scale”) models and other similar recreational models, working or not, puzzles of all kinds

Although DGFT Notification No 82 / (RE-2008) / 2004-2009 dated 23 January 2009 states that “the importation of toys are banned such as the prohibition extends to all products covered by the 9501 code, 9502, 9503, certain parts of toys by this prohibition. The apparent reason for ban on imports of toys from China is concerned about the safety of children. It is suspected that Chinese toys contain very toxic, harmful to the health of a child. High concentrations of lead in children’s bodies can lead to physical illnesses such as diarrhea and nausea and may even harm related to intellectual development of children and their level of IQ. Phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP, usually built of plastic, so soft and supple, which is found in soft plastic toys may have serious long term side effects that cause outages, such as hormones and reproductive defects. CPC and other hazardous chemicals are used in a doll dress considered carcinogenic. It was also argued that Chinese toys loose parts that come from small toys out during the game, and poses a health risk if they can be ingested by the child.

In recent months, the Chinese toy creates a shock to the world above, and recall led to many toys. Mattel has recalled “Sarge” cars, Dora the Explorer products, lanky puppet of Big Bird from Sesame Street and nearly a million other toys from the line of Fisher-Price, Nickelodeon characters and all made in China. RC2 Thomas & Friends wooden railway toys were recalled. In January 2009, said DDI Inc., Iowa, USA Toy Play Sets Construction and fan-Eyes, Inc., New York, USA High School Musical recalled manicure sets, all manufactured in China through containment. A complete list of Chinese toy recalls in recent months to allow access in the United States @ http://www. CPSC. gov / cpscpub / prerel / category / toy. html. I

t is really scary to know that our children play with toys and Chinese life-threatening, it seems that the government has really done a commendable job. U.S. and European countries have taken the lead in memory of toys from China, and India is a latecomer to the train through the import ban. Many countries around the world quality standards for toys and baby products. Most who try this can cause potential risks as the risk of fire or suffocation, the impact injury. Children are particularly tiny, often toys in his mouth so that the materials used to make a toy regulated to prevent poisoning. Materials are also regulated to prevent fire hazards. The children have not yet learned to judge what is safe and what is dangerous, and parents do not always think about all possible situations are the important warnings and requirements for toys.

Currently, India is no quality standards for toys. E ‘in the media, the government is developing quality standards for toys and within six months, we have reported our standards. Until then, our children are deprived of the joy of the toy. I think you know everything said, as can be, even after the frenzied media coverage of the recall of Chinese products from superstore shelves dodgy in the United States, Britain and other European countries. All this despite the fact that it happened on a very strict quality standards. We know also that the quality of Chinese toys exported to the U.S. and Europe is much higher than the Indian importers have imported into India. Therefore, India is rather against a much more precarious situation at home.

But I wonder if the ban on Chinese toys is correct. Chinese toys are actually deadly or “toxic toys” play is a metaphor for poisonous fears of contemporary China, its economic growth apparently rapacious, the adulteration of milk and chocolate products. lead paint are dangerous if the lead is exhausted and indigested children. Lead can be inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Lead from paint can only be read suck on these toys and put them in your mouth for days at a time, or be washed from digestive disorders a significant shuffling of colors. Children often suck on toys, but not for “days at a time.”

In 1998-99, the Fondazione Giorgio found under “Project Lead” blood circulation of children in big cities and more than 51% of children under the age of 12 years living in large urban areas in India of excessive levels of lead in blood 10 mcg / dl or more. Blood lead levels in children of about 10 mcg / dl are associated with disturbances in early physical growth and mental, and later intellectual functioning and academic achievement. lead contamination usually comes from dust and soil, but can also come from lead water pipes or environmental pollution. concentrations of lead in blood of residents near the site of waste disposal, where you see a large number of children playing can be usually high. However, none of the various studies showed that each of lead paint in toys as a factor in higher concentration of blood lead in children.

The toys have a history as old as human civilization. The origin of toys is prehistoric, dolls, children, animals, and soldiers can be easily found in archaeological sites. They were written on some of our oldest literature. Toys from the Indus Valley civilization (3000-1500 BC), excavated include small carts, whistles shaped like birds and toy monkeys which could slide down a string. Toys, how to play multiple uses in humans and animals. They provide entertainment while playing an educational role. Toys enhance cognitive behavior and stimulate creativity. Help in the development of physical and mental abilities that are necessary in later life. Children’s toys often make use of distinctive sounds, bright colors, textures and unique. Playing with toys children begin to recognize shapes and colors. Repetition reinforces memory.

We grew up with toys of clay and wood. Were produced simple toys crafts village. Fancy toys were intended for the rich luxury. A lot of water of the Ganges as the importation of toys de-regulation has been flown. Now, not only toys from China are available to urban children, but also invaded the most remote and poorest families in India. Toys from China are complicated with lights and sounds that are popular among children. cheap toys from China a ‘wow moment’ for the children that are fun, properties and new innovative technologies and compelling content. I go with a cheap Chinese helicopter 10 feet in the air and I am amazed, it costs only Rs 800 /.

Toys from China are not “toxic”, but “exotic” for children. There are more toxins ruin the health of our children and kill them. A World Bank study from 2000 the annual number of infant mortality in India by dirty water 2 06 million. The maximum permissible level (MPL) of lead recently proposed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission is 0. 1? G / g of cocoa butter (a key ingredient in chocolate) and 1 0? G / g for cocoa mass and cocoa powder (COPAL 2004b). A recent study of cocoabased chocolates sold in India, Dahiya found lead concentrations averaged 1. 92? G / G, which is much higher MPL. The ban on imports of toys from China, have deprived our children from some exotic cheap toys that the child is accustomed. I do not understand how parents accompany the child to satisfy any adverse effect, or “TABILISATION” his childhood.

Some may argue that the government has banned the import of toys from China and only imports from other countries still permitted, and then our children are not deprived of the pleasure of the toy. Imports of toys for the statistics in the last five years shows that about 90% of toys imported from China. Korea is a distant second hand.

Therefore, other countries will likely fill the void created nearly a ban of toys from China. The application has banned the import of spare toys as well. toymaker domestic share of imports from China could be affected. China has shown the world that mass production, the cost of products at ridiculously low levels of lead. Although the Indian entrepreneurs seeking to fill the gap will never be able to price, have seen our poorest and most remote households in India, passed by the same. Surprisingly, prohibits the import of notification of the “toys” from China. An estimated 75% of toys sold in the U.S. made in China. It is also known that the parts and components are manufactured in China, widely used by toy manufacturers worldwide. It ‘s a matter of interpretation, if the Chinese toys from the United States and other countries are imported, imports are admitted free. Toys, Mattel, Lego and Funskool be sold are also affected both as a toy or a part of China. quality standards around the world, stand for toys. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has a certain quality standard ISO 8124-1:2000 Safety of toys, ISO 8124-2:1994 flash, ISO 8124-3:1997 Migration of certain elements. Similarly, ASTM, American and European standards are also available. As long as our standards are formulated, may be approved imports of Chinese toys to ISO or ASTM standards. I hope that his hearing cries of our children, policy makers in the near future. Until then, I’m in mourning for the destruction of Chinese toys from the life of our children.

Customer Review: POTF Red 5
This is a really nice rendition of the X-Wing, even just leaving it on the shelf. Mine is over 10 years old, and was lost, I found it recently, and set it on a shelf. The ship is BIG, it is a least the size of the original Studio Scale models used for filming, and maybe even a little larger.
The detailing is excellent for a toy, the proportions are nearly perfect except for the rear of the hull where the R2 is, that “machinery” strip is a little wide, but only a model builder or professional would notice that. Otherwise, the ship is very close to the original.
The markings, “stickers” in this case, are accurate to the Red 5 paint on the original. I do remember that they have to be applied to the ship by the user, so an adult will need to do that or they will be a mess.
The ship has little educational value, other than being a nestalgic toy.
The only negetives I see with it are that the four wing tip cannons can be easily lost as they detach from their monts fairly easily. A little Super Glue could fix that, though.
The wings are a little thin and they don’t open as wide as the original model, but could be made to with some modelling work….
Other than that, it’s a beautiful rendition of this very sleek and dangerous looking fighter from Star Wars.

Puzzle 3D Sears Tower

416QYckfLQL Puzzle 3D Sears Tower Puzzle 3D Sears Tower Puzzle 3D Sears Tower. Get ready to build your own replica of this world-famous Chicago landmark skyscraper! This model of the Sears Tower is made up of 532 foam-backed pieces and when completed stands over 3 feet tall! It also glows in the dark!
Customer Review: Great Challenge
This was my first 3-D puzzle ever, it was pretty challenging….i worked on it every evening after work and finished after about 4 days. I just really dig all of the classic sky scrappers, and it turned out quite nicely. I’m gonna get the rest of the skyscrapper puzzles and make my own skyline.
Customer Review: More fun than I expected
I am a big fan of Puzz-3D puzzles and own most of them. When I first saw this one I though it was uninteresting. Much plainer than a castle and lacking the color of most of the other puzzles. But my kids really like the real Sear Tower so I ordered it. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it glows in the dark (but it has to be really dark).
