About Tin Toy Robots
These are the days of remote-controlled-state-of-the-art toys. This case is especially true with toy robots. The Robosapien is a good example of how complex toy robots have become. The Robosapien can walk, talk, navigate obstacles and pick up objects all at the touch of a button or even by voice commands. It runs on batteries and has potential for a lot of fun. A long time ago, toy robots were made of tin. Complexity was way simpler but the fun factor is still the same. After all, a toy needs to provide you with hours of fun ? be it a tin toy or an electronic toy.
Children’s Educational Science Kit: Make Your Own Robot
There are plenty of robots available on the market ranging from $140.00 for the Robosapien to priceless for Honda’s Asimo. However for those on a tighter budget, there is the Soda Can Robug. Explore the world of robotic science with the Soda Can Robug science kit from Green Science. Kids age 8 and up can recycle a pop can and turn it into a working robotic bug. Kids will be delighted to see it slide across the floor just like a real bug! It even makes a buzzing sound as it travels along. Kit includes plastic mechanic body, wire wings, wire legs, motor with wires, screws and detailed instructions. The Soda Can Robug is an imaginative way for children to explore mechanics and electricity. It’s also ideal for showing children creative ways to recycle everyday items. This idea is very neat, but the robot is as crude as the empty can that you use, so don’t expect Robosapien-quality results. You will never see an empty soda can the same way ever again after taking a look at this amazing robotic kit. For those environmental friendly youngsters out there the new Green Science range is, the company promises, perfect fro experimenting with everyday household items, turning them into something useful. The kit allows you to turn, transformers style, a regular drinks can and turn it into a cool robotic bug.
Customer Review: may need several pop cans
did you know not all pop cans are the same size? We discovered this when trying to put it together. the pieces that go around the can are made for a specific size can, and our first try didn’t fit
Customer Review: excellent introduction to robots
2 of my 4 kids really enjoyed being a part of the building process. My 6-yr old son wandered off near the beginning, but my 4-yr old and 8-yr old were spellbound. It took less than 30 minutes to put it together. Then we spent 30 minutes watching it spin in circles on the floor. It doesn’t have an extremely sturdy build and it is definitely not 11 pounds of shipping. It’s a fun little toy, albeit kind of expensive. We like the one we have, but won’t be getting another. The emphasis in the description on recycling is a little over the top… Buy Now from Trusted Amazon.com Click Here
