Customer Review: lady turtle
Such a pretty doll. Her hair is silky soft and the headband and wrap around shoes are so unique. Her wings do fall off too easily, but are easily put back on and Mariposa can be played with without them on. I am writing this review 10 months after purchase so here are the drawbacks. Depending on the age of the child playing with the doll the shoes are fragile and the straps break. If the child steps or sits on the wings when they are off, they can be broke in half;or maybe she bent them with her hands. And worst of all, somehow the neck has become limp. Her head will not stay up and it just flops around. Either the joint is a new type that doesn’t last or my granddaughter somehow broke it. Also the velcro on the little dress has lost it’s ability to stick and I had to get another dress. This doll is done.
Perhaps the butterfly dolls should be only for display. But most ‘little’ girls like to play with their dolls.
Customer Review: wings won’t stay on
My daughter got this for her 4th birthday. She really likes the Mariposa story. The doll, however, is not as popular. The wings fell off when we took her out of the box and while we can set them back on gently, with a small plastic butterfly on the back of the doll but, they fall off at the slightest wiggle. I don’t know if this is a design problem or just bad luck.

This is a pretty doll. The face and the hair and the wings are beautiful. I think I got a good deal for my money; however, the bodice of the doll is painted on. I thought it had regular take off/on clothes, but the bodice of the dress is actually painted on.
Customer Review: Fairy Fun
My daughter is very happy with her doll. She was excited over being able to play the game with the Elina doll. I did have a little trouble getting it programmed but once I reset it and made sure that I was holding the DVD remote control to the white light instead of the red light on her necklace, everything went smoothly. This concept of using the doll as the remote in the game is interesting and enticing to children, (well, to my daughter anyway). But the game itself is extremely lacking. There is no depth to it. All you do is turn your doll to the left or right to go to different places where you are given the stones for the crown in which the stones had been stolen from. There is no challenge, you simply go to these places and the stones are given to you. So there really is no “game”. The doll itself is pretty and her wings will flutter with a push of a button. I’ve given this toy 4 stars just based on the doll. I would give the game only 1 star.

Customer Review: cute but messy
My 4yo daughter got this as a gift. She really liked it for a couple of days. It’s a cute idea, but the hair color tool is just ridiculous. It doesn’t actually “color” the hair. It just rubs some purple/blue chalky stuff on it. The hair color flakes off and makes a big mess. It also comes with a bunch of little hair accessories. They are very cheap and not that pretty. My daughter never used any of them in her hair and lost them almost the same day. Also, not very durable. We’ve had this doll for several months and her leg is missing. I suspect my 2yo son pulled her leg off, but still it must have been quite easy to remove for a 2yo. It’s not excessively expensive and is a pretty doll. If you can stand the chalky hair color and don’t mind some occasional cleanup, it’s a decent toy. However, I’d probably spend my $20 on something else given the choice.
Customer Review: Loved the hair color for this Doll!! Best on the market!
My daughter got this for her 5th Birthday and I wasn’t eager to open it when I saw it was another one of those “color your hair” dye kits. This one was a color your doll’s & color your own! Well, we have tried all the girl crush products out there and they usually end up looking really cruddy. On Halloween, my daughter dressed up as Hannah Montana and instead of putting one of those ugly wigs on her, we decided to just put a few color streaks in her hair. She reminded me that she had the barbie that we hadn’t opened yet and we gave it a try with this product! Her hair turned out awesome & it washed out really easily unlike the other products which kept her hair dyed for a few days. You do have to run the color over it several times to get the desired look, but it dries really nice and lasted all day! We also tried it on Barbie and it was easy enough for my 5 year old to do unattended without ending up with a bunch of dye on her! The only complaint I have is that if we want more of this dye we have to buy another barbie! : ))
