LeapFrog Electronic Flash Magic Flash Cards – Addition & Subtraction

LeapFrog Electronic Flash Magic Flash Cards – Addition & Subtraction Remember flash cards? They may have been helpful, but would you call them fun? How about entertaining? Probably not. Now thanks to Electronic Flash Magic Flash Cards, flash cards are all that and more. Play the Learn It mode and shout out your best guess before you shake it to reveal the correct answer. The Quiz Time game challenges kids to solve as many equations as possible in 60 seconds then a quick flick flashes the correct answer on the screen. Hearts will be racing, palms will be sweating and brains will be expanding with Electronic Flash Magic Flash Cards. What it Teaches: * Addition tables 0-12 * Subtraction tables 0-12
Customer Review: Weird
I got this for my kids to work on their +/- facts, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the facts. I was thinking it would cover 0+0 through 10+10 or 12+12 (and the corrisponding subtraction facts), but there are “facts” in there like 38+2 etc. Since it is timed on the drill (see how many questions you can answer in 60 seconds), it would be nice if the child could type in the answer rather than wasting time waiting for the right answer to appear. They *can* save some time by pushing the > button to show the next answer. When the answer does appear, they can either push “enter” or give the whole little thing a flick. My kids did like doing the flick, but together with pushing the > button, the whole thing is confusing. AND to top it off, while you are trying to think, they have “The Entertainer” playing very loudly (thank goodness you can turn the sound off). My preschooler likes to play with it only for the sounds and flicking. My school-aged children do not.
Customer Review: Fun practice
My daughter really enjoys this product. She is 7 and uses it on her ride to school. It has increased her speed in both addition and substraction. Each day she tries to beat her high score.

This smoothly shaped, solid wood kitchen bottle set has removable, color coordinated, magnetic caps. (wooden storage tray not included). 16 1/4″L x 6″W x 2 3/4″H.
Customer Review: These condiments really cut the mustard!
My two children, a three year old and a two year old, love these bottles with magnetic lids. As with all Melissa and Doug toys, they are made well and are very durable. My children spend lots of time in their little kitchen matching lids, lining them up and rearranging them. Now if only they would do that to plastic ware drawer!
Customer Review: 22 Month old LOVES IT
Again, Melissa and Doug make a great toy.
My 22 month old recieved it as a gift and I thought she might not think too much of it. I was very wrong, she loves to take the caps off and “snap” them on according to color and pretend to pour or drink from them.

Requires 3 “AA” batteries, included. Measures 8.5″L x 8″W.
Customer Review: She really likes it.
I have two daughters (six and two). The six year old really enjoyed playing with it, but it was obviously quite basic for her. I was concerned though that the two year old was going to have a hard time with it. The screen is pretty small and the number and shape keys are a little hard for little fingers to press. Nevertheless, she has had a blast with it. Both girls have sat down for 10-15 minutes at a time and played cooperatively, with the older one occasionally showing the younger one which keys to press. It was well worth the money to buy this inexpensive and durable toy.
Customer Review: Great travel toy
We got this for our 2 year old before a long multi-airplane trip, and it was worth every penny. It’s a lot smaller than it looks in the picture, but was perfect for his little hands, he likes to open it and close it and hear the little theme songs that accompany a number of the buttons. He could also play some of the games, mainly the “we’ve lost a letter, can you find it” game, but also the basic “can you find the shapes” game. There’s some stuff about adding and subtracting asteroids that’s way over his head, but that didn’t matter too much. In any event, he was totally obsessed with it during our weeklong trip and two 14 hour airplane trips, and it was totally worth it for that. Now that we’ve been home for two months he still plays with it for 5 or 10 minutes a day, it’s particularly handy when you’re trying to pack a bag or something and need him to be busy for a few minutes. So: Worth $20 in every sense of the word. We’ve probably dropped it 200 times, and it’s doing fine. Off the main point, I have to say my favorite thing about it at this point is that our kid now says things like: “That’s correct” and “asteroid” in a CP30 accent, which is hilarious. Overall, it’s kind of an odd toy, the technology feels very Tron-era 1980′s, but if your little one likes “computers” and button-mashing and you have love in your heart for campy 1980′s tech this thing is awesome.
