I just bought the new Lego 2008 Castle Advent Calendar for my 4year old son. I absolutley LOVE this year’s kit. I try to buy a new advent calendar every year for my son to help him count down the days until christmas. We’ve done pirate calendars, and dueling knights and they’ve all been big hits, but most required prep work on my part snapping together toys, stuffing them into boxes and putting the whole kit together.

Customer Review: Great lego set at a good price!
My 5 year old is a lego nut, he has been building them for 2 years now and this is one of his favorites. We usually buy lego age ranges of 7-12 for him. He put together the Racer X car in one evening and plays with it everyday now – it’s very durable. It took him two days to put together the Cruncher Block truck and he needed help on a few tricky parts – this one it not as good for play afterwards – a few little parts (like side mirrors) that fall off if handled too much. Overall this was a good set at a good price.

Customer Review: Perfect Gift!
I bought these for my 6 year old son. He loved this box of lego people more than he did the 1600+ legos that I also bought. He has spent more time imagining who the people are, changing their hair and hats, and playing with the people in his lego buildings.

Customer Review: Back to the basics
When I told my older son’s I was getting this for my 8 year old, they thought I should get one of the new Lego sets, you know like star wars… I can remember spending hours upon hours with my Lego’s when I was a kid. We didn’t have no ‘sets’. We used our imagination. Not many toys let you do this today.
