Customer Review: Puzzling Puzzle
Though the story is a bit overly dramatic, the puzzle itself was a good challenge. Because it is in black and white, it is supremely difficult. Most of the pieces all look the same until you realize, ‘oh wait, that white is half a shade darker than this white’ and it’s still guess and check. Even then, some of the pieces looked almost exactly the same and were the same color so you have to hold the pieces up to the light to make sure that it does fit together.
The puzzle was a birthday present to my fiance and it took us almost a month to finish (working about an hour or less a day, sometimes not at all– it was very tedious after a while). Regarding the “mystery”, if you can figure out the impossible murder, kudos to you. Alby and I had a theory and it turned out to be way better than the actual ending. It was pretty disappointing, but the puzzle was well worth the time.
Also, the picture here on amazon is not of the Alfred Hitchcock puzzle.

Customer Review: Great puzzle!
I like working on a puzzle in the evening when we watch TV. The 2008 Summer Olympics were on, so we were watching more TV than usual. I really enjoyed this puzzle. I started with the castle which was the easiest section for me, then I did the mountains where the sky meets, then the rest of the sky with the branches and leaves. The hardest parts were the sections on either side of the castle. It’s a beautiful puzzle when complete, it made me want to travel to the castle’s magical setting. It took me about 2 weeks to finish. I recommend it highly!
