LEGO DUPLO Big Pirate Ship (7880)

My child has this for his fourth birthday. This was definitely his favorite gift! First, the ship is huge – I think about 2 meters long. There are many cool pieces, including a working Canon (fires 2 missiles), a chest full of gold, in a prison that contains the bad, pirates different blades (hide, you can always, if the weapons do not play how your child plays with them), and even a monkey … because what is a pirate ship without a monkey? The ship was tootogether, and since it is Duplo, do not miss the millions of small pieces.
As with most Lego kits that are separate pieces to other versions – like a small raft of pirates, for example.
My son has hours of fun and uses them with his Lego Knights for the slaughter and the search for buried treasure stage.

Customer Review: My Review of LEGO’s DUPLO Big Pirate Ship
My son who just adores Pirates in general immediately adopted this as his favorite toy. So, shame on Lego for discontinuing it. It is simply awesome. The toy itself is enourmous, and it floats, well. It actually lets a little water into a chamber at the bottom of the hull which creates stability so it doesn’t tip over when floating.

LEGO Lord Vladek
I have 9 and 6 year old nephews who I thought would love these. I had previously purchased the King Jayko for one and got Lord Vladek for the other thinking they could build them together and battle them. They seemed to enjoy them somewhat. Some of the pieces tend to fall off (mainly the shield) and the younger nephew needed help building his.
Customer Review: Lots of Fun
My son and I love to play with Lord Vladek and King Jayko with their weapons. We had fun building them and setting them up for war. As a mom, I love the quality time that this toy affords us. We seem to waste hours trying to knock down each others’ army (3 knights each). I highly recommend the Lego Knights. The assembly directions are easy and well illustrated. They also look great on display. Too bad each weapon only has one piece of ammunition.
