Vocaloid2: Hatsune Miku Action Figure Figma Hatsune Miku (Hatsune Miku) is the first installment in the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series released on August 31, 2007. The name of the title and the character of the software was chosen by combining Hatsu ( First), Ne ( Sound), and Miku ( Future). The data for the voice was created by actually sampling the voice of Saki Fujita, a Japanese voice actress. Unlike general purpose speech synthesizers, the software is tuned to create J-pop songs commonly heard in anime, but it is possible to create songs from other genres. Material: PVC , ABS. Customer Review: As dainty as she looks
She’s cute, her body moves naturally, and her joints are very well hidden. In nearly every pose I’ve put her in, she’s always been adorable! It’s a great collector’s item or a lovely gift for a fan. However, be very, very gentle..in trying to re-position her hair, it broke. I was in shock (she had only been opened for an hour and I didn’t put much pressure on it). It’s all fixable with a little glue, so I wouldn’t be too scared.
On the parts of her body, where the joints are located, it’s okay if something falls out of its socket. I’ve noticed that when putting it back in place, it’s just as durable as before, yet easy to repeat if necessary (which is great if you’re switching out something from another figma onto your Miku figure).
Customer Review: just a warning
I have nothing to add too the previous review, I have this figure and love it as well, but I must express some problems that apply to most Figma figures.
The joints arnt very durable. With mine, the joint that allowed me to rotate her left-hand ponytail snapped with the ball and one side pegg in her head, then the other in her ponytail completely snapped and detached. I wasnt rough with it at all, it just broke after 3 minutes of being out. I’ve researched this problems with other figmas for a solution. I saw pictures of arms breaking off, and other parts of hair. I ended up just bluntly super gluing it back on.
Basically, be careful when handling these. Other than that they are a good addition to a collectors arsenal.

Customer Review: This is the coolest thing I have ever seen!
Well, it’s ONE of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! “A Christmas Story” is one of my top favorite films of all time, and, as a toy collector, I LOVE having these collectibles! In case you didn’t know, this figure is the “Old Man,” AKA Ralphie’s dad, played by Darren McGavin (also known to fans as TV’s Kolchak, the Night Stalker; when do we get some figures of THAT?!). The Old Man is an awesome likeness, and comes complete with his treasured “Major Award,” the notorious leg lamp! And, to address the problem a previous reviewer had, my figure wasn’t defective, so they can’t all be. Set this up alongside Ralphie, Randy, and Mom, and you have one awesome Christmas Story display! Highly recommended for collectors and fans of the film, and/or Darren McGavin!
Customer Review: No Left Hand
I bought the whole set of these action figures of A Christmas Story from Amazon. The “Old Man” has a right hand for both hands! No left hand, just another right hand attached. The Mom I ordered has her right leg considerably shorter than the other, she won’t stand up, you have to put something under it to prop her up. So far, these two are defective pieces. Oh well, just too much trouble to send them back.
