Customer Review: LIttle Engine for Imagination
We bought The Little Engine That Could for our grandson’s fourth birthday. He loves it even more than Thomas the Tank Engine at times. The Little Engine has “saved” a number of his wooden trains that need help to pull their loads. The only problem is that the smokestack is so high that it doesn’t fit under some tunnels and overhangs.
Customer Review: Not as Nice as Expected
I bought this for my nephew wanting a nice Made in the USA toy. It was much smaller than it appeared online, for the price I was disappointed. It came in a cheap blister pack and although the toy is very nice and good quality for that much money I expected something much larger. The cars were only a few inches long each.

Customer Review: Beary fun
My daughter has this toy and played with it quite a bit when she was 2-3yo. It is very well made and I like the fact that I never see Melissa and Doug toys on the recall list for lead paint or other safety issues.
Customer Review: doesn’t store well if you have a really young one
This is a very cute toy and the different expressions on the bears are great for talking about feelings, as someone else mentioned. Nice portable size. However, being a “portable” toy, the box is just a whiff too small to just throw the pieces in and go — they have to be placed in or shuffled about so as to take up less space to fit the lid on. The lid is the other gripe I have. For some reason I just expected it to be a slider but it’s just placed on, so it isn’t secured at all. We have a fun rubberband for it, but it would have been nice if it were a slider or flip-top lid to make less of a mess as a portable toy.

I found the same problems with this toy as all the others have stated. THe cord on th phone is too short, the beads are awkward, after having it for 2 hours it no longer lights up, and the keyboard only plays mary had a little lamb over and over. My son never plays with it. It will be in the next box of goodwill items…
Customer Review: Watch the paint!
I got this as a hand-me-down toy and my daughter loved it from about 6 months old to 9 months old. Yesterday I threw away all of the number and letter shapes because the paint was scratched off under her fingernails and yes, on her lips! I washed her off as best I could and I just pray that this was not one of the toys from China made with lead paint!

I bought this as a 21-year-old looking for a presentable piece of furniture to store my American Girl doll’s clothes and to set her on top of as a display piece. It fits well in my room and has plenty of space. My only complaint is that it is not quite tall enough in the hanging space. Some of the dresses drag on the bottom. Other than that this is the most spacious doll wardrobe available that isn’t $[...], like the one directly from American Girl.

I was very pleased when I received this doll closet. Holds lots of hang up clothes (bar needs large hangers). Has large storage drawer under hang-up clothes. Shelves are roomy and deep. Has fold-down mirror and little padded bench which is quite big. I was just surprised and what a good doll storage unit this is. The price is fantastic. Everybody I know wants to get this for their daughters. It’s heavy wood. Can put stickers or paint or any kind of decorations on it too. Or. it can just be left alone. Looks nice. Customer Review: Small wooden tool set.. durable!
After reading tons of reviews, I chose this item as it is durable, wood, well constructed. Of course, like many other buyers, I did not realize how small it would be! it is so little! may be for the little hands it is okay. but it seemed so tiny for me, when I saw the box! My son is just loading his tools and carrying the box around the house. He just did not play well (as it is too early to say now in one day!), But he said he loves that. he was the one who was asking for a tools box. a bench kind of box could have been better for working, but they are all more expensive or cheap plastic. it looks cute and rich! one discomfort with this toy is, ones he hammered, it would be hard for him to take it out by himself.

Overall it is good. My son is only 14mos so all he is doing is banging around the pieces but I can see him growing with it. Only one of the pegs fits snugly like it is suppose to so he can hammer them in but the others are loose and a disappointment. After the Chinese Lead Paint scare, I worry about any product like this.
