Customer Review: Great idea, but better for just lacing
This shoe lacing puzzle is a very cute idea, but I think it’d be better if it was left for just lacing purposes, not a puzzle. The pieces come apart and are held in by velcro. It can be a little difficult for a young child to get the piece exactly where it needs to be because of that. The lacing idea is great, but with the shoes being separate pieces, they come apart easily when a child is trying to pull the laces which can make it frustrating.
Customer Review: tricky shoes
These are a good educational toy, but a little difficult to work. Since they are not 3-D they are a little difficult to visualize the process of tying shoes, but I got them 1/2 price so it was a good deal for the money.

Customer Review: Not as good as it looks
My daughter loved to play with a similar product at her pre-school – and so I wanted to get her one for home. When this arrived, I was disappointed to find that the foam is very thin and flimsy. My recommendation…keep looking for something more durable!
Customer Review: Better for older kids
I got this for my 6 month old son so we could use it on our hardwood floors to provide some cushion as he learned how to crawl. They were thinner than I expected and it’s a little annoying that the letters come out. Overall, it’s ok… but obviously better for older kids (as it says ages 3+).

Customer Review: Beary fun
My daughter has this toy and played with it quite a bit when she was 2-3yo. It is very well made and I like the fact that I never see Melissa and Doug toys on the recall list for lead paint or other safety issues.
Customer Review: doesn’t store well if you have a really young one
This is a very cute toy and the different expressions on the bears are great for talking about feelings, as someone else mentioned. Nice portable size. However, being a “portable” toy, the box is just a whiff too small to just throw the pieces in and go — they have to be placed in or shuffled about so as to take up less space to fit the lid on. The lid is the other gripe I have. For some reason I just expected it to be a slider but it’s just placed on, so it isn’t secured at all. We have a fun rubberband for it, but it would have been nice if it were a slider or flip-top lid to make less of a mess as a portable toy.
