Electronic Hand Held Deluxe Sports Games Grand Slam Baseball Replicating all the action and feel of a live sporting event in a battery-operated handheld console is a tall order. But that hasn’t stopped the folks at MGA Entertainment from stepping up to the plate with Grand Slam Baseball, one of several sporty entries in their Deluxe Games line. Powered by two 1.5-volt cell batteries (included), Grand Slam Baseball offers nine innings of play on its 1.75-by-1.13-inch LCD screen, which is imbedded inside a translucent plastic handset. Thumb controls activate the screen icons in either pitching or batting duels against the computer. These directional controls are effectively arranged in a quartet of pie wedges easily within thumb’s reach. Never mind the occasional tortured translation on the instruction sheet; ultimately, it’s the miniscule, squint-inducing LCD graphics (which tend to appear and disappear depending on how outside light hits the screen) that actually replicates the ballpark experience. Our 4 year old loves the fact she can listen to her music anytime any place. She has even learned how to operate the Fp3 player by herself. It’s so easy and user friendly.
Customer Review: One of our best buys
We’ve had this toy for a year now and it’s fantastic. It gets played with every single day. After loading a ton of music I hardly ever change the songs since kids will listen to the same songs over and over. I think this toy gets dropped at least once a day and just keeps working. We also bought the “docking station” to go with it. The player spends most of its’ time in the docking station. My girls turn it on and dance for hours. The neighbor kids even come over and turn it on. I’ve never had any problems with the toy. The batteries last longer (for some reason) when it’s used in the docking station, and you have to screw them in pretty tight in the player. Seriously, it’s a great buy. I’m a mom of three kids with much experience with crappy toys, this one is a hit.

Customer Review: My kids love this
We own 2 of this products. My son got his when he was 5 and my daughter got her’s when she was 3. They are both still using it and loving it. My son is now 7 so we might have to think about a MP3 player, but this was worth every dime. We didn’t use the songs from the Fisher Price store though….we used CDs of our own and put them on the players. Over the years we have taken off and added more songs. The speakers that can be purchased separatley are also a great buy. My suggestion is to use your own cds…cost less and the kids love it more.
This is has been a life saver on vactions, airplane rides, and long car rides.
