Classic Alien 18-Inch Action Figure

41GggRdol3L Classic Alien 18 Inch Action Figure Classic Alien 18-Inch Action Figure Designed by Dutch surrealist H.R. Giger, the titular entity from Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi/horror masterpiece, Alien, is captured in all its glory as this 18″ collectible! This highly detailed piece is sure to become a fan-favorite, and includes a hinged jaw, and articulation at the knees, elbows, tail, and more! Window box packaging.
Customer Review: Best Giger (1979) Alien Bang-For-The-Buck Out There!
Folks, I’m one of THE biggest fans of the original 1979 Alien movie. I thought the later incarnations of the alien in subsequent films never really stood up to the original creature that H.R. Giger brought to life. As far as Alien toys that capture the essence of the 1979 original, Marmit’s “stoop alien” is one of the most true to the original – but it costs [...] even if you can find one. There are some good statues as well, again for 100 to 400 bucks…My kids love to play with the Alien toys I get for them (at least that’s the premise), and you can’t play with a statue that cost [...].So along comes this offering from NECA, which is a another durable, poseable Alien similar to the “Movie Maniac” toys. Only – it’s really huge, it’s REALLY accurate to the 1979 original, AND it’s only 50 bucks! Sheesh, it’s about time! On a scale of 1 to 20, I give it a 19. Why not a 20? Well, the “under-dome” details are pretty simple, which would be OK if the dome plastic were darker and more opaque (like the movie creature). As clear as it is, it reveals too much. This can be remedied by sanding it with fine-grit wet/dry sandpaper and giving it a careful spritzing of gloss black spray paint. Keep in mind this treatment completely fries the toy’s “original condition value” but it greatly improves the look. And the other thing – the jaws will not completely close to give the Alien the famous closed-tooth “grin,” which is one of its most frightening movie looks. Here again, some modifying might work, but you might wind up screwing it up beyond repair. Now here’s a note about the leg issue: Yeah, they’re damn near impossible to get together. But not totally impossible. Do NOT try to force them with all your might or you’ll wind up snapping off a foot or something. I tried the hot water thing (read other reviews), but it still required too much forcing and bursting of blood vessels in my forehead. After giving it some thought, I filed down the first couple rows of circular ridges on the leg posts (these are the over-desgined culprits). I then used some yellow conduit grease (used to facilitate pushing electrical wires through buried conduit) on the posts. I was then able to pop the legs together with a satisfactory “seating” of the parts. And they don’t want to came apart after my mod. I had the grease handy but I suppose dish soap might work too. The filing is the key. This toy could likely be entered in the Guiness Book of Records for the most twist-ties – I think the plan was to thwart anyone who took it in a department store bathroom to undo it. The store would have long closed by the time they got it free of the packaging. But this a very detailed and incredibly accurate reproduction of the 1979 Alien. When you take it out of the shipping box and look through the plastic window, you’ll be impressed! Highly recommended for Alien fans!
Customer Review: Top notch
I’m sure everyone knows of Aliens, a great horror movie that had an iconic symbol of fear itself. Who isn’t scared of a creature that, to reach adulthood, must eats it’s way out through your chest cavity? Here’s the rundown on this ‘toy’

Melissa & Doug Presidents of the USA 100 piece Floor Puzzle

31Dvv6n1C7L Melissa & Doug Presidents of the USA 100 piece Floor Puzzle Melissa & Doug Presidents of the USA 100 piece Floor Puzzle Portraits of all 43 U.S. presidents are featured on a giant floor puzzle that’s fun for the whole family. The sturdy puzzle pieces are 20% thicker than other floor puzzles and the easy-clean surface keeps them looking new. 100-piece puzzle measures approximately 2 feet by 3 feet when completed.
Customer Review: Puzzle
I put this out on a table in a high school library. It gets worked on all day long. The pieces are big enough that if they are knocked onto floor, they are easily seen before being vacuumed up.
Customer Review: Why are the drawings so ugly?
This is a large durable floor puzzle made with high-quality pieces that have a wipe clean surface so they can stay looking nice and clean. However, the portraits they chose for the presidents are terrible so be sure to really zoom in on the large image before purchasing! My son can hardly recognize the faces because the drawings are so crudely done. I honestly wonder if they were drawn by a child, but not like in a cute little-kid way, just an unskilled-artist kind of way. This particular model only goes through George W. Bush, and probably will not be available much longer.
