Get Your Kids Thinking Critically by Watching Commercials
My family uses TiVo, so we don’t come across commercials very often. We’re all adept with the forward and play buttons. Even so, the kids occasionally get lazy and see a commercial.
When they first saw commercials these kids could have doubled as a marketer’s dream. “Mommy, I want Bendaroos.” “Mommy, I need this so I can do that.”
It had to stop. I remembered reading a magazine called AdBusters in my twenties. (The magazine is still around and I highly recommend it.) The magazine makes spoofs on other ads, and the modified ads are funny and thought-provoking. I decided to use this as a teaching opportunity.

And ‘slowly arose that Tom has a nightmare of all parents had the life to come to his house: her daughter had fallen in the pool. He went to the pool and shouted, â? Blythe! Blythe! Â? But she did not answer. He screamed for his wife and mother-in-law, returning from a shopping trip, but had not returned.
Tom finally took the plunge? Diving in the pool, started along the bottom in a desperate attempt to find his daughter. After several minutes he finally found the body still fragile, pulled from the water and tried to remember what he knew about ventilation, but Blythe had for some time under water.
This is a true story, and although Blythe survived and was pretty good, could simply dead. If Tom had taken no longer find his sweet child, the results could be tragic. You donâ? T must be blind not to know where your children are every second. A voice alarm system can call a? Alert! Children in the pool! Â? And can you tell if someoneâ? LEGO Battle of Metru Nui Most of the Lego Bionicle series of toys are pretty basic affairs, composed of fewer than a hundred bricks and designed to build one very particular toy in a very particular way. This sprawling Bionicle set, however, is much more ambitious and should provide a lot more prolonged play value. It sports 856 pieces in all and allows you to build the enormous Coliseum where key battles between opposing forces take place along with the gigantic spider Kahgarak. 13 character figures are included, six from the Toa Hordika and seven from the evil Visorak. Giant spinners and catapults add to the fun. As always with Lego, there are detailed directions and the bricks are infinitely adaptable to other sets. –Charlie Williams

In the battle of metru nui ,the six toa hordika stops the visorak from getting inside the gates when they finally unraveled the problem they go to the gates of metru nui to stop them in leauge with the toa hordika named Vakama, whats more worse of the visorak the leader that they are leading is the most powerfullest visorak of all , now the toa must stop the visosrak to save metru nui. packed with bigger features a spinner will gaured them but, thats not all, metru nui has launching fireballs to defeat the visorak army and remember that it is in your hands that who will lose and who will be able to win the battle of metru nui.

This set is so cool. Even though it is expensive, I would HIGHLY reccomend this set. I rate it 5 stars. This set is really fun to build (it may take a few days, though) and play with. That big mask in the middle is my favorate piece. If you go to [...], you can watch a commercial for this set. It comes with 6 Toa minifigures, and (I think) 8 Visorak minifigures. I have this set, and days after I was done building it, I would still like to play with it. The Visorak minifigures glow in the dark, and, if you press on thier back legs, they jump. I like to line them up right next to each other and launch them all at the same time. This is a really great set.

Customer Review: My daughter’s best friend
Last year we were in Tyler, TX and found Cheeky Charlie. My daughter fell in love with him at first site. She was 11. Charlie has gone with us through a divorce and a custody battle. He has never left her side except for school. My husband and I decided that maybe Cheeky Charlie, aka as Charlie needed a friend. I was so pleased to be able to find one on Amazon. I paid for rush delivery and he was here in just a few days. Now Cheeky Charlie, the new one has become “Bob”.
Cheeky Charlie is a friend to everyone, no matter what age. He is very durable. I know this from him being carried everyday by an arm or leg.

Customer Review: Anakin’s cool blue lightsaber
I bought this lightsaber a few days ago and it is sweeet! The blade goes all the way down, unlike the electronic one. It can clip to your pants and the blade is much more durable than the electronic saber. There is a lock to keep the blade inside the hilt. You activate the lock by pushing down on the blade when its in the hilt. To take out the blade, you simply slide down the button and flick your wrist. The hilt is Anakin’s hilt. If you have enough money, buy this saber!

Here it says, right on the box, “Works with iPod Nano.” No, it does not. The tight-fitting iPod sleeve is incompatible with the latest generation of Nanos. It came with no A/C adapter (batteries are required). It does not charge the iPod – the sleeve simply channels older generation iPods so that the headphone jack is plugged in. Very deceptive and false advertising. Very disappointed.
Customer Review: not meant for younger children
I bought this product for my daughter’s 4th birthday not realizing that it came with 2 cartridiges that only played partial songs. It did not specify that it only worked with a 1 or 2 GB 1st generation iPod Nano when I purchased it. It also plays without the cartridges and the only thing the cartidges do is makes it so only certain songs play, but it’s only less than a minute of the actual song. Although both my daughters ages 4 and 5 enjoy singing with it… after a while of the same songs playing over and over again it gets quite annoying, and although I recognize most of the songs the kids did not…they are very old songs most of them and they are not kids songs. And iPod nano’s are so expensive compared to other mp3 players I wouldn’t recommend it especially for children too young to understand that they are highly breakable and expensive. And it will not work properly without the ipod nano. This toy was not meant for young children. And the seller should specify that in order to get the most out of this toy you must have an ipod nano, instread of letting the customer figure it out on their own. Unless you have a 12 year old that is willing to sport around a barbie toy and likes kelly clarkson and leann rimes do not buy this toy and do not buy it unless you are willing to spend another $65-$100 for a 1 GB iPod nano that a 4 and 5 year old would break within a few days.

Customer Review: Robot Voice cracks me up!
A lot of combinations in this voice changer. Squeeky voice to Robot monotone. Better than Helium! I bought it for a nephew who loved it. I went back to the store a few days later to buy one for myself, and they only had one left in the back. It didn’t work, but I assumed that the battery was dead, bought it, changed the 9 volt (rectangular) battery, but it didn’t work. I’m going to return it. They are good for some laughs.
