The vivid imagination of conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie brought to life the characters and worlds envisioned by George Lucas. McQuarrie’s paintings and drawings were instrumental in the push to bring Lucas’ saga to the big screen, giving shape and form to a multitude of fantastic individuals, creatures, planets and technology encompassed in this epic tale. Developed in collaboration with McQuarrie himself, this remarkable action figure series pays tribute to the man whose art defined some of the most memorable characters in film history. Inspired by his Alaskan malamute, George Lucas created one of the most enduring and well-loved non-human characters of his saga. Constructed from knitted mohair and yak fur, Chewbacca was given life by the actor Peter Mayhew and voice by a wide array of animals, from walruses to black bears.

Star Wars Episode 2 Junior Figure 2 Pack Darth Vader & Obi-Wan

Galactic Heroes line is absolutely fabulous. The only complaint I have is that they do not have an Endor Leia Ewok Wicket with (are you listening Lucasfilm merchandising), and they really need a costume Darth Vader TIE Fighter Vehicle with triumverate GH completed.
I love the set of Obi Wan and Darth Vader, I took for my nephew (6 and 9) vacation and absolutely love them. I hard all "old school" GH fighures except Lando and Skiff Guard (sooofind).

Limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Talk about action! This piece fairly exudes it! From concept to collectible, beginning life as a humble production painting, this remarkable statue takes Star Wars conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie’s work into the third dimension! It’s based on an early concept drawing of Darth Vader fighting Deak Starkiller, a character who would eventually be replaced by Luke Skywalker. As a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Episode IV: A New Hope, McQuarrie’s lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Lord Vader is fully realized in this 3-D vinyl kit. The artisans of Kotobukiya have faithfully reproduced McQuarrie’s every detail, from Vader’s samurai-inspired mask to Luke’s unseen-on-film breathing apparatus. The 2 figures can be displayed together or separately. Darth Vader stands 11-inches tall and the combined bases measure 16 1/2-inches long. Limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Minor assembly required.
Customer Review: If You’re a Fan of Ralph McQuarrie & Star Wars, this is a must have
Ralph McQuarrie is well known for his early concept art that served as the “model” for the Star Wars universe that so many fans around the world loved. From paper to 3D this set from Kotobukiya is a must have. Although this scene never occurred in Episode IV, the duel between Darth Vader and Luke Starkiller are brought to life in vivid color and in their signature poses as shown in McQuarrie’s artwork. The only thing that would have made this spectacular is if the lightsabers actually lit up and if it was signed by Ralph. The “mechanized” look of Vader’s helmet is very detailed as is Luke’s breathing apparatus. Vader’s helmet was “softened” for the movie and there was no breathing apparatus used by Luke. If you are a true fan, you must have everything McQuarrie, you must have this piece. It is pricey but you won’t be disappointed.

this is quite a cool toy.you can remove his helmet(obvious),jetpack(obvious again),shin pads,chest protection,poncho & guns.the down part of this toy is the handS/armS is very loose. I am pretending that Anakin cut his hand off.I would suggest that you buy Jango fett(kamino escape).although this toy will be easily found in any toy shop.
