Educational Insights Dino Digs Set- Velociraptors

518WPK3HD3L Educational Insights Dino Digs Set Velociraptors Educational Insights Dino Digs Set- Velociraptors Children can become paleontologists with this high-quality dinosaur excavation kit. Two complete velociraptor skeletons are buried inside a block of porous clay. Beginner paleontologists can carefully excavate dinosaur bones, including two spines, lower jaws, skull, and rib cages. It’s a thrilling scientific hunt–like digging for buried treasure. With the excavated bones, children can make their own velociraptor models using the enclosed wax (since the wax doesn’t harden, children can change the poses of the skeletons). The accompanying 32-page guidebook is especially well written, with numerous illustrations, engaging lessons, and child-friendly language. The set comes with modeling stand and digging tools. Skeleton assembly may require some adult assistance for children under age 11. –Gail Hudson
Customer Review: Neat idea.
This was a lot of fun for my 6 yr old son. Even my 12 yr old girl helped dig for bones. It is definitely messy (lots of dust) but easy to clean up. The only complaint I have is the dinosaurs do not stay together very well once you assemble them. It would also be fun if you could put the bones back into the “earth” and dig them up again. But overall, it was fun for both kids to do together. They didn’t even argue!
Customer Review: My kids are begging for more
I got my daughter a Dino Dig of a T Rex skull three years ago, and since that Christmas she and her girl cousins (age 6 8 and 10) are all asking for more. They love the fun of hands-on science and discovering the bones inside, whether it is a baby dino in an egg, a footprint, skull, etc. It is messy, but afterwards you can bury your fossil (and other stuff) in the sandbox, water it, let it dry for a few hours, and play archaelogist all afternoon. It sure beats the art kits little girls usually get, both for fun and educational value- I’d rather my daughter engage in an archaelogical endeavor than make yet another bracelet or unicorn painting. She is ten now and still loves this line of toys – has a cabinet full of “fossils” to show off, too, and most important, a growing love of science.

Customer Review: Fun toy to get your kids curious about dinos
This is a great toy for kids and their parents to share. I did the dig with my 5 years old daughter and we both had a blast and got our game room thoroughly dusty. Was totally worth it…
