I too had a Merlin as a child and I loved it. I have been looking for a Merlin for years and I finally found it. I recently bought 2 and I am glad I did. My newphews are always playing with them. The memory game helps them out a lot. The older Merlins were bigger, and the buttons on this Merlin are raised, (the older ones weren’t), but it’s the same Merlin. I recieved my Merlin in the time that I was told. Great product.

My 7 year old daughter has as much fun with the Merlin Electronic Puzzle Game as I did when I was a kid. Everyone loves to play Tic Tac Toe against Merlin, even Pa-Paw enjoys playing Merlin. I love that it helps my daughter with simple addition when playing Blackjack against Merlin. It also teaches her some logic and deduction in the puzzle games. Also, she really has to pay attention and listen to play the game where you repeat the note patterns. I feel alot better paying this amount of money for an educational electronic game than paying a hundred or two or three hundred dollars for an electronic game that will likely be obsolete in 30 years. Merlin is so cool!

Customer Review: Poor AI
The computer intelligence is quite poor. For e.g. there have been times when it attempts to locate lets say my battleship (a ship that requires 4 hits) in an area where only a ship that requires 2 or 3 hits can be located. This should not be really. The computer’s attempt at locating ships seems to be purely random.

Customer Review: Two versions of Jakks Star Wars Plug&Play game?
I am a little confused after reading some of the reviews here, so I thought I’d share my experience. FYI, there is (or was, at least) another Jakks Star Wars Plug-n-Play, which was shaped sort of like a Playstation controller but it was designed to look like Darth Vader’s mask (which I thought was way cool, BTW.) Anyway, I know that Amazon sometimes lumps reviews together, and reading over these it looks like they’ve done that here because some mention the controller looking like Vader, while the photo shows the one shaped like the Millenium Falcon. We have BOTH the Vader one and the Millenium Falcon one (purchased a year or two ago at local -mart stores for about 20-bucks each.) The Vader one does have different games than the Millenium Falcon one, though — or at least ours did (another review here seemed like the Vader one had the same games as the Falcon one…???) On our Vader game (which is dated 2005 on the back) it has the games described in other reviews here: Droid Invasion, Coruscant Attack, Grievous Onslaught, Gunship Battle, and Utapau Chase. Our Millenium Falcon game (dated 2006 on the back) has only four games instead of five, and they are different — they are: Lightsaber Duel, Battle of Endor, Assault on Hoth, and Red Leader.

Customer Review: 1 year later and still a great toy.
I bought this for my son last year at Christmas. He was 9 then and built the toy right away. He assembled it by himself in no time (as other mentioned). However that did not diminish the value. He had a great sense of pride in the fact he built it. After a month or so we made him disassemble it and put it away. But this Summer he assembled it again and played with it for 2 months. Wonderful toy.
Customer Review: Lego Star Wars Y-Wing Fighter Review (I couldn’t think of a better title! 
I think that this set captures the essence of one of the Rebel Alliance’s best joint strike fighters, besides the X-Wing. It’s very durable.
It looks like the real thing, too, with all the inner workings exposed for easy maintanence. I turned the bombs into lights on the area between the engines and the main fuselage. After everything’s been said and done, this is the best set I’ve ever gotten.

At first, I hesitated purchasing the electronic edition of Battleship which cost $40 over the traditional one for $15. I am so glad I purchased it! I have 4 children, 3 of which are old enough to play and understand the game. They play for hours, with each winner playing the next person!Definitely worth the money, and a great gift if you can put aside the actual battling aspect of the game!
