Barbie Had a Little Lamb Wherever Barbie goes, her fleecy friend is sure to follow. Barbie Had a Little Lamb is the first in a collection that’ll feature Barbie in classic nursery-rhyme settings. Here she’s pretty as a picture with long auburn ringlets; a blue satin, button-fitted jacket top; and a yellow-and-white-striped skirt with white pointelle overlay. She looks more like the heroine of a romantic novel than a little miss whose lamb followed her to school one day, but the doll’s still a lovely collectible. Her lamb is hard plastic. Barbie Had a Little Lamb also comes with a brush that’s not likely to be used on her set curls, which are wrapped in a light-weight same-colored net. –Nadine Mendoza-Province

My grandmother always used to call my mom “Lambie”, so anything having to do with lambs I grab for my mom’s collection. We’ve accumulated quite a number of lamb dolls and “Mary Had a Little Lamb” type dolls. This one by far is my favorite! Her hair is beautiful.
Customer Review: COLLECTORS READ THIS
This is a very pretty and intricate doll. We purchased it 3 years ago when my daughter was only a few months old. We wanted to start a collection for her(that she’ll not know about until she’s old enough to not want them out of the packages. I don’t know when that will be, as I’d like to take them out!) We wanted to get in on the ground floor of a series. THis was 1st in a series. A series that they do not plan on continuing aparently. I E-mailed them(MATTEL) a year ago and they replied that no 2nd was even in the works at that time. I was very dissapointed as being the first in a series was our reason for purchasing. Two series started that year, Birthday and Nursery Rhyme. WE got both. At least the birthday series continued.(These two were the only ones we found with the boxes saying first in a series) Just wanted to let collectors in on this info.
