Customer Review: pretty fun toy
My daughter saw this in the toy store and was clamouring for it for a long time. It is a pretty fun toy. The horse eats little tiny bits of food, which then end up in the pocket by the saddle. It’s basically teh same concept as the Tanner Dog from barbie; but without the gross poop feature; and also without the hazardous magnets (earlier versions of the Tanner Dog were recalled for safety issues, but I think this horse does not have any magnets). The horse moves its head down and opens its mouth to eat the food. My daughter tends to want me to push the button to make the horse move (for realism); she doesn’t much like playing with it by herself. One down side is that the food is really tiny and easily gets lost. Another issue is that you can’t get Barbie or a Kelly doll to ride the horse; it’s not the right size (too small for barbie, too big for kelly; barbie can sort of balance on the horse, but it doesn’t look comfortable). but still, as such toys go, it’s fun. The mane is fun to brush, and you get the eating thing too.
