Customer Review: This game is hard to put down!
This game is very hard to put down! The unit is compact and has a nice size easy to see screen, for something it’s size. The screen is not difficult to see despite the fact that it is not illuminated, provided you are in a reasonably light area. This is a great game to take with you, while commuting. There are puzzles of various difficulties stored in the game, that you can choose from. You can request that a letter in a word, or an entire word (in answer to a clue) be provided for you, when you are stumped. The batteries in the game last long, even when it is kept on for extended periods, while playing. The game has an automatic “shut off” when it is idle for a while, to conserve battery power. If you are willing to deal with the screen not being illuminated and the fact that this earlier model of the game has no stylus, you can save a lot of cash by electing this model of the NY Times Electronic Crossword game.
Customer Review: Good puzzles, terrible screen
I like the puzzles, but seeing them is difficult at best. You have to have it at exactly the right angle in exactly the right light. You get what you pay for, I guess.
