Customer Review: Flimsy excuse for dress up!
We purchased this item and returned it in less than 24 hours, after only playing with it for an hour.

The shoulder seam “unthreaded” and the weight of the wings made a hole in the back of the dress. Not only that, the wings were so heavy they were hanging parallel to the floor, not vertical at all. A little girl heavy enough to make the wings vertical is probably not a size 6x.

Customer Review: Mariposa Barbie So-So
The doll itself came through the shipping all right, but the box it’s in was totally destroyed. I purchased it as a gift and am almost embarrassed to give it, due to the condition of the packaging. And, while the doll’s intact, the holes in the box allowed lots of dust to seep in (I assume in a warehouse) and the doll is filthy. I’m left with the options of giving a dusty doll in a ripped box, or a clean doll in an open and ripped box. Overall, I wasn’t thrilled with this shopping experience.

Lumina has the palest skin I’ve ever seen on a Barbie with shimmer (I suppose reminscent of the moon). Her blueness seems to be a hit with little girls. The hair is straight and less likely to get messy. My 4 year old calls these dolls “scary” but she’s much more interested in playing and looking at them than the traditional Barbie (of which she has only one). I think these dolls are just gorgeous with their larger face and fuller features, soft glitter and of course permanently painted on bodysuit.
Customer Review: DVD sounds a bit like an inconvenient truth but the doll is nice
the DVD sounds like it was based on the book by Al Gore, but as usual, the dolls are much better than the DVDs they are made to go with.this probably because the dolls are designed first. I dislike the molded bodices on the dolls but this does prevent wardrobe malfunctions. This particular fairy is very different, they use the new large head mold, and instead of an insipid pink ballet dress with butterfly wings, she is wearing a nice shade of blue and her wings are crescent shaped.

Customer Review: Head broke
My daughter got this for her birthday and a month later, the head broke off. Now she won’t play with it anymore since it has no neck. I have several Barbies from years ago that are still intact. This one could have been made better.
Customer Review: Cheaply made, don’t waste your money!
I bought this doll for my 3-year-old daughter’s birthday. The doll was beautiful and she loved it until the neck broke, it’s made of cheap plastic and now the head won’t stay on. It lasted all of 12 hours and now she has nightmares about the “scary doll”.

Customer Review: Cute and Fun
My daughter really likes her Barbie Mariposa Willa Doll. She is very cute. The wings come off easily and you can attached them back in a snap so that prevents from breaking them when pulled on. My daughter is 2 so she can be rough on toys sometimes! I didn’t even know that the butterfly would go up and down her arm (it is a magnet so the butterfly is not permanently attached to the arm) so that was an added bonus to the fun we can have with the doll icon smile Barbie Mariposa Willa Doll

Customer Review: 2 stars only because my daughter loves it
I bought this doll even after reading the reviews only because my daughter had to have it. She loves it but the reviews are correct…the wings do not stay on or work well. The doll also has an odd body type for Barbie…thinner than the normal doll.
Customer Review: Great toy, but wings fall off
My 3-1/2 year old loves this toy, even with the wings falling off. We bought this toy, the wings fell off and we weren’t able to keep them on. We returned the toy and got a second one, and the wings still fall off, but we are able to pop them back on easier than the first. Regardless, she still loves the toy. But if you don’t have time to put the wings on, or have a child that is a little rough with toys… don’t buy. You can still use the toy as a regular barbie… she is very beautiful!

Customer Review: Who doesn’t like Barbie???
Ok. So i got this Barbie for my 5 yr old and she LOVES it. It IS a pretty Barbie, but it ISN’T perfect. The wings fall off all the time and it’s hard to get them back on. Hard for me, but impossible for my dtr. I think the main reason that it’s so hard to put them back on is because it’s difficult to tell which way they go. The slotted things are very similar in size so it just makes it more difficult. The dress is pretty, and even though it and the wings have glitter all over them, the glitter does not get all over everythign, which my husband is greatful for!! LOL!! I gave this doll three stars because of the wing issue. Other than that, my dtr LOVES it!!!
