Pleasing Toys For Christmas
Every year, Toys ‘R Us sends the Christmas catalog out to entice customers to enter their stores. Children lunge for this special catalog, circling all of their desired toys for Christmas that they hope they find under the tree. Parents get their hands on the catalogs once their children have leafed through it circling all of their desired toys for Christmas and might groan in glancing through it. As the years move on, the prices of toys for Christmas continue to rise. Not uncontrollably, but they have risen with the inflation. Most of the new toys for Christmas that come out each year seem to be more advanced. Computer games and technology seem to be a bit too much for some parents to grasp. Parents find themselves thinking back to the days when toys for Christmas were much simpler.
Black Friday has become one of the most popular buying days of the year. It is on that particular day that all the newest toys for Christmas make their debut and shelves in toy stores empty rather quickly. Kids want to peek in shopping bags when their parents return home, hoping to see what toys for Christmas they can expect to unwrap on Christmas morning. Some parents won’t even walk in their front doors after shopping without having the longed for toys for Christmas wrapped up.
Though new toys for Christmas come out every year, some of the older toys seem to maintain their popularity. Many adults will
argue that it simply means that the old style of toys for Christmas are the best but it may simply be due to popularity and reputation. Board games are commonly among the same toys for Christmas that survive as the years move on. Granted, they are not selling in as large of quantities and may have gotten some cosmetic lifts but they have the same concepts and ideas.
As a child, I would take the catalog of toys for Christmas and cut out the pictures that I wanted. I’d glue them to pieces of paper and give my “wish list” to my parents. By that time, I had given up on believing in Santa, but not on the desire to have new toys for Christmas. That tradition has become popular in my household now that I have children of my own. My son likes to cut pictures of his desired toys for Christmas and leave them in different places. He’ll put one or two inside of a book that I’m reading or on my husband’s desk. He’ll find any way that he can to guarantee that we won’t forget about getting him Christmas presents. As if we could forget.

Avoid Dangerous Toys for Toddlers
Santa’s elves make all kinds of toys at the North Pole. From lavish electronic devices to simple board games, those in St. Nick’s employ are a versatile group. Unfortunately, however, not all toys are safe for all age groups. In fact, children under three or four years of age are particularly prone to choking on small objects (they put everything in their mouths!). For this reason, it’s imperative that parents of tots in this age group closely monitor what Santa places in the stocking and under the tree on Christmas Eve.

electronic game of Scattergories
electronic game of Scattergories Customer Review: Fun game with a solvable glitch
What a fun game! I loved the original version, and really like the options you have on this electronic version. It’s got a lot of variety, and you can play with youngsters too. You feel the pressure of a game show, which is fun if you have enthusiastic teams. You can really be crative and come up with creative answers that match the categories.
THERE IS AN UNFORTUNATE GLITCH- like another reviewer stated – team A and B each have a timer that is stopped as they complete their set of answers, and they take turns until the first team runs out of time. However, team A is often the loser because they start first…and it’s most logical that their time will end first.
The manufacturer really didnt think this through.
BUT- THERE IS A WAY AROUND IT! THIS IS WHAT WE DO:
If my team was Team A in the first round, then we call ourselves Team B for the second round….at least this way we are equally disadvantaged. Also, once team A’s time runs out, we record the time remaining of Team B and add it up in the end to declare the real winner.
I know this sounds confusing, but it will all fall into the place if you buy the game…which I DO recommend! It’s Scattegories to the MAX!
Customer Review: Wow what a great toy
the man who reviewed this toy before obviously wasnt a scattergories fan!!! this game allows soo many more catogories and different levals….its technology is growing with this world and if it were to stay as a board game it probably wouldnt be as popular, for 20 dollars why wouldnt any one buy it!! its hours of fun and easy to take anywhere!!! if you buy this game over the regular scattergories you’ll be pleased with your descison just remember were growing up in this world and we cant just stay with the plain board games!!

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Multi-Activity Table
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Multi-Activity Table This multi-activity play table includes double-sided play board and pull-out drawer for storage. Great for train sets, doll houses, puzzles, building block sets, and board games. Solid wood and durable construction for hours of play. Easy adult assembly required. Assembled size is 49.5 x 15.75 x 32.7 inches.
Customer Review: Love it!
My toddler loves this table the the train set (purchased separately). However, when the table arrived it was missing ALL hardware and I had to wait 4 weeks before Melissa and Doug sent me the hardware so I could put it together. It was easy to put together – didn’t take much time at all. I’m only giving this product 4 stars however, due to the hardware missing and customer service taking so long to send us the missing hardware. On top of that there was a missing screw hole so my husband had to drill one for me or the drawer would not have worked at all. Good thing my hubby knows how to do that or I would have been out of luck. The other thing is that the table had nicks in a few places which sucks because it doesn’t look 100% nice/new. So I was bummed about that and probably won’t buy the kitchen set I was looking at because of this. Hope all this info helps.

Ben 10 :Aliens Vs. Villains Game
Ben 10 :Aliens Vs. Villains Game ben 10, Cartoon Network. For 2-4 Players, Ages 7 and up
Customer Review: Two boys’ review: Less fun than watching a Ben 10 rerun
Even though we picked up this game at a discount, thinking anything “Ben 10″ related would be fun to play, we were very disappointed.
The negatives:
Game play is monotonous; you roll one die to move and the other to capture an alien. That’s it. There’s more suspense – and more dice – in Yahtzee.
