The set comes with 648 pieces and a full-color, illustrated instruction booklet that diagrams model construction in 59 steps with multiple ministeps along the way. Piraka characters enter the fort through the mouth of a fearsome mask. Retractable teeth form bars over the entrance to keep the good guys out. The stronghold is defended by a clever mechanism that loads and shoots plastic marbles, er, zamor spheres about eight feet in distance. Our favorite feature, though, was a red LED brick with a tiny lens that focuses the light into a pretend laser sure to wreak pretend devastation. Inside the box you’ll find nine numbered bags of parts, two plastic bases, a Piraka mask, and instructions. Numbered parts bags make it easier to build the set in stages since the numbers correspond to discreet sections of the building diagrams. Also included is an illustrated block inventory with part numbers, in case you ever need to re-order a replacement block. –Porter B. Hall

My son is 11 years old and he spent hours on this toy christmas day. All the details that it contains and the amount of pieces kept him focused and interested.

Customer Review: Assembly fun but little long term play value
My 7 year old son get this set for Christmas. He enjoyed putting it together, but once assembled he has not played with it. He loves the regular Bionicle action figures, but the play set was a waste of money.

a great set for the average lego buyer if thats you disregard this and read another review. This is for expirenced lego buyers. The alternate model on the back is not makeable due to the lack of instructions. the instructions are not on any websites as of now either.

Customer Review: Bionicle Piraka Zakton.
Piraka Zaktan aka the “snake” is a great toy! Zaktan is a very durable toy because only the about 2 pieces come off of the toy.(Excluding the Zamor Spheres.) Zaktan comes with light up eyes and a cool Zamor Sphere Launcher. His teeth glows in the dark and he has a double bladed weapon. He also comes with a rubber spine which irrates me a little bit because you cant move the head up or down easiley. The double bladed weapon is a three bladed scissor with prongs at the other end. Its kind of educational because it teaches you how to build toys. You can also combine him with Piraka Reidak to make a combo model! It also has a try me button to see the light up eyes! Its also helpful because it will also allow you to see if it works! Overall this is a great toy!
