Okay this toy is awesome and has some amazing things about it. I would like to say that for the first time did it take me two days to build a lego. I could have probably done it in one day if I devoted the time to it but I didn’t mind. Legos are my puzzles that I build anyways off subject. Okay my overall rating of 4 stars and 3 for fun is because of the power this thing lacks and some quirks that I think need to be worked out. The crane can barely lift my keys which by the way I only have 2 on my key chain with two micro nova lights. Pretty light if you ask me but the thing has a difficult time raising and lowering them. It gets the job done but kind of disappointing when it comes down to it. Also the extension of the crane itself is weak and sometimes binds up. At first I thought maybe I did something wrong so I checked and everything was right. I tried replacing the batteries but that wasn’t it either. I think it is only because of the long axle that is used to make it extend which I have been meaning to switch out with a series of smaller ones to see if it helps but can’t say if that will do the job. Other than those problems the thing is awesome to build and play with so long as you don’t mind just lifting a lego man or a small platform of legos. It is kind of expensive too but I can only imagine with almost some 2000 parts that you are paying about 12 cents a piece if not more. I would check out videos of the thing on youtube but I must say I am very happy that it is in my collection and I would reccomend it just because it is very educational and can help a child of age understand the functions of a crane and how gear links if too many can slow down the operation. If a child was to sit down and try and make it better that would probably be the ultimate learning process but still they would enjoy the time spent building it playing with it in my opinion.
