This is a very good toy for people who like LEGOS and Transformers. It comes with everything you need to start playing. It will break if used to much, to much as in: Pushing the pieces to hard, trying to bend the parts ect. But all in all it is a great figure and I would say buy it. Makes an awesome gift.

LEGO Bionicle: Pahrak The Bohrok, a race consisting of six insectlike species that use elemental powers, add to the mythological story of the Bionicles. The Pahrak are the Stone Bohrok, who can cause rocks–or mountains–to crumble. While they rarely get angry enough to attack, once they start, they are incredibly hard to stop. This 40-piece Bionicle kit uses a system of ball-and-socket joints, pegs, gears, and machinelike body parts for assembly. The illustrated instructions are easy to follow, and the black, brown, and tan pieces snap together without difficulty. A lever just behind the back of the head can be pressed to make the top dome lunge forward–a simple but incredibly cool effect. The bohrok were a very interesting story. The only problem is, when the rubber band on the back breaks, it’s useless. It can’t lunge, and it’s no fun.

I bought this as a gift. Amazon is great as a source for toys because many times you can’t find a certain item in stores. The boy loved that I was able to find this particular bionicle.
Customer Review: Spinax is good, Maxilos is poorly designed – won’t stand
Maxilos is a strange model. The designer clearly over-engineered his lower legs, which are very sturdy, but left the hip joints at nothing more than a standard ball and socket joint. This kind of joint is used all over the Bionicle “kingdom” and it works great for smaller models. But Maxilos is simply too heavy and his hip joints can’t deal with the load. He constantly falls over unless you balance him perfectly. In this way, he’s fine for display, but horrible for actual play.

Customer Review: When is someone going to make a durable action figure?!!!
This was a Christmas gift for my six year old son. Today, the day after Christmas Indy’s foot has broken off. As with all action figure I get for him, they are not durable. I’m in my 40′s, we used to play with GI Joes in my neighborhood. We would drop them from trees,roll them down hills,and things like that. They endured it all. You could pull his head off or his leg off. They were made with a ball and socket, and you could stick them back in. Now, all these action figures joints are made with hard plastic and the movable limbs simply break off if they are played with. Is this made to be played with or is supposed to be on display as a collectors item? I love the whip action and sound effects but if it’s going to be played with, think twice. The price is a bit high for something that is going to break. My kid was simply having the figure
run across the table when the foot broke off. Give me the old GI Joes any day!!!!
