Star Wars Kotobukiya > McQuarrie Concept Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader Figure Talk about action! The classic duel comes alive! Combined bases measure 16 1/2-inches long. Limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Talk about action! This piece fairly exudes it! From concept to collectible, beginning life as a humble production painting, this remarkable statue takes Star Wars conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie’s work into the third dimension! It’s based on an early concept drawing of Darth Vader fighting Deak Starkiller, a character who would eventually be replaced by Luke Skywalker. As a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Episode IV: A New Hope, McQuarrie’s lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Lord Vader is fully realized in this 3-D vinyl kit. The artisans of Kotobukiya have faithfully reproduced McQuarrie’s every detail, from Vader’s samurai-inspired mask to Luke’s unseen-on-film breathing apparatus. The 2 figures can be displayed together or separately. Darth Vader stands 11-inches tall and the combined bases measure 16 1/2-inches long. Limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Minor assembly required.
Customer Review: If You’re a Fan of Ralph McQuarrie & Star Wars, this is a must have
Ralph McQuarrie is well known for his early concept art that served as the “model” for the Star Wars universe that so many fans around the world loved. From paper to 3D this set from Kotobukiya is a must have. Although this scene never occurred in Episode IV, the duel between Darth Vader and Luke Starkiller are brought to life in vivid color and in their signature poses as shown in McQuarrie’s artwork. The only thing that would have made this spectacular is if the lightsabers actually lit up and if it was signed by Ralph. The “mechanized” look of Vader’s helmet is very detailed as is Luke’s breathing apparatus. Vader’s helmet was “softened” for the movie and there was no breathing apparatus used by Luke. If you are a true fan, you must have everything McQuarrie, you must have this piece. It is pricey but you won’t be disappointed.

Star Wars Saga 2008 30th Anniversary Wave 1 Action Figure Obi-Wan Kenobi On Lava Platform Set in 3 scale, the 30th Anniversary Wave 1: Obi-Wan Kenobi On Lava Platform is equipped with a blue lightsaber. This version recalls Obi-Wan s battle against the newly christened Darth Vader waged along a churning Mustafarian lava river. The duel was fairly well laden with acrobatic maneuvers, and though the fight seemed equally matched for a while, Obi-Wan eventually reached the shore, gaining the higher ground. Disregarding Obi-Wan s warning, Vader attempted to bypass Obi-Wan in the process of reaching a higher vantage; failing to accomplish this feat, Vader was reduced to a limbless smoldering mass.

If you wanted to buy this figure, you should not! I don’t like this figure a lot because his head always falls off!The only good thing about this item is that the lightsaber stays in his hand.

Star Wars Basic Figure Pre-Cyborg Grievous Pre-Cyborg General Grievous is armed with a blaster rifle, and is outfitted with a full array of rustic gear including a removable tribal mask. Originating with the planet Kalee and the species Kaleesh, General Grievous (formerly Qymaen jai Sheelal) is a lithe, muscular figure with a leathery reddish-colored hide. Count Dooku was impressed by Grievous battle savvy and strategic acumen, and for this reason Dooku tried to entice Grievous to lead the Separatist army. Grievous refused, but he later narrowly survived a horrendous shuttle crash. On the planet of Geonosis, Grievous physical essence was transferred to a cybernetic body—much to Grievous horror. Eventually Grievous was trained and conditioned into a Jedi-equivalent swordsman; he became the general of the Separatist army and the scourge of the Jedi order.

This is one of the more interesting releases in the 30th anniversary series of Star Wars. To be honest, the figure is bad – poor articulation, poor poseability and good-luck trying to get it to stand.

This Clone Trooper was attached to the Hawkbat Battalion, the latter of which was commanded by Major CT-12/12-0068 and was one of four battalions under the 101st Regiment. Poncho-clad Clone Troopers of this type were featured at the outset of the Clone Wars storyline.

Housing figures within figures, it’s almost poetic that a youthful, innocent Anakin Skywalker should be hidden deep within the dark and menacing shell of Darth Vader. Customer Review: Bringing sexy back
This is Padme Amidala wearing the evening gown she wore while she and Anakin Skywalker were “hiding” on Naboo.
The off-shoulder black form fitting gown is a definite eye turner and a fine addition to anyone with a Padme wardrobe collection.
The figure comes with a 30th anniversary coin, a stole which can be fitted over her shoulders to cover up the bare skin, and a glass which fits neatly into her right hand.

Customer Review: pretty good figure…but slippery hands
Overall, this is a good trooper to reenact the Kashyyyk battle in Episode 3. The paint job is good, the camouflage looks similar to the kind the U.S. Marines wore in the Pacific during WWII. Finally, a clone trooper that can actually blend in with his surroundings and not stand out like a white bulls-eye! Although the paint is good, the armor is detailed, and the helmet’s face plate can be flipped up to reveal the clone’s face, there are some flaws with the design. The most dissapointing was the clone’s lack of grip on the single rifle he comes with. Every time you had him looking through the sights and tried to move him-oops! The left hand and maybe both hands just drop it. This isn’t that big of a deal, but it does interrupt the flow of reenacting the assassination attempt on Yoda, or battling droids in the Kashyyyk jungle. There also isn’t very good articulation at the waist, forcing the clone into a hunchback most of the time. Still, this is a good trooper and a good addition to a dedicated Star Wars fan’s collection.

the star wars 2007 30th anniversary “Betrayal On Felucia” figure battlepack offers durable likenesses of the clones on the planet Felucia in the movie Star Wars Revenge of The Sith. It also comes with a Jedi Knight complete with a lightsaber.
You can take the helmet off of one of the troopers to reveal the true face of the clone soldier. Each comes with a powerful laser rifle and the squad is lead by a highly detailed commander as the other clones are very realistic looking too. The background scenery shows the planet Felucia which
the clones are attached to as a backdrop. You can keep the clones in the diarama or remove them to play with. I find this to be a real work of art as these figures are sturdy and durable and very realistic looking- this is a must have for the ultimate Star Wars fan.
