Gordon is one of the 8 member “Steam Team” (including Thomas, Edward, Henry, James, Percy, Toby & Emily). Proud (perhaps a little pompous & arrogant) and strong (he usually pulls the express), sulking when he doesn’t get the “important” jobs but sometimes kind in dispensing advice, Gordon is a NWR (North Western Railway) blue express engine with red & yellow lining, a yellow number “4″ on the sides of his tender, and a total of 16 matching blue wheels (4 small & 6 large on his engine, 6 small on his tender). He first appeared in TV Season #1 (1984) in the first episode (“Thomas Gets Tricked”), and on the original (Spring 2010) Take-n-Play Collector Checklist. Fisher-Price October 2012 MSRP is $9.00 (well worth the $8.97 I paid for my grandson’s.) If you’re looking for your very first Gordon, you can buy this individual one, or the non-talking version is also included in a themed 4 pack (Gordon’s Snowy Special), and there’s a talking version as well. He’s also included in the Pull ‘n Zoom line.
