There is no way to completely turn off this game. The power button turns off the game so you can’t play, but leaves half the backlight of the screen on which will kill the batteries within 12 to 18 hours. The only way to completely turn the toy off is to remove the batteries which requires you to have a screw driver handed since the battery cover is screwed on.
