This toy doesn’t have an on and off switch. Sometimes it talks nonstop. I took the coins out and turned it over, and that strangely helps.
The cash register button opens it a tiny bit, and you have to pull the door to open it all the way. The coins get stuck in the slot, they need to be smaller.
My 2 yr old likes it, regardless.

I bought this for my son’s third birthday. He is obsessed with Elmo! This is really cute and easy to figure out. It’s very simple. The buttons have different sayings and noises. It also seems to be pretty durable. I just wish it had more of a realistic cash register feel so that he wouldn’t grow out of it as fast, I’m assuming that he’ll be “over” it around age 4.

Durable, colorful, fun sounds and the coins are nice a large so they are easily grasped and not easily lost. This is a more relevant update to the old toddler cash registers that were poorly made, jammed often and had weird, flimsy mechanisms. At this price point you can’t go wrong.
