Wooden Educational Jig-Saw Puzzle – Mother Duck
Develop dexterity, problem-solving and reasoning skills, hand/eye coordination, color, shape, size identification, and more with these big, bright, multicolored WOODEN JIG-SAW PUZZLES. The pieces are light in weight, large in size (about 3/4″ thick for easy handling), and interlock loosely so even pre-schoolers can assemble them easily. All are precut, safe, sturdy, and water-resistant. The colors are non-toxic stain-like impregnated finishes. The Mother Duck is approximately 11-1/4″ high, 9-1/4″ wide, and is Yellow in color.
You will note that the Mother Duck design is very educational in its reassembly. The main body component part in the middle, has interlocked into it, 2 feet attached at the bottom, a tail at the back end of its rump, then with a neck on the top front of the body, with a head on the end of the neck. The cuts are designed to aid the child in determining reassembly of basic body structual component parts of an animal. In this case a simple adult duck.
I can’t stress enough about how simple we must make our designs. As adults, we may see these designs as too simple,
but I kid you not, the kids see them as an answer to questions they may not know how to ask yet. Believe you me, kids learn a tremendous amount from having fun with visual aids at an early age. How wonderful it is to be an adult, but still a kid at heart. To have all of that experience behind you, and still have fun being a kid.
