The Interview Barbie Doll
Have been a fan of Silkstones since their inception in 2000. This one in particular seems to just not do much for me. Perhaps she will grow on me and I will learn to appreciate her more. The outfit is a retro 60s but has no pizzaz with the color being boring beige cotton demask or something. Her facepaint is also very understated after all she is at an interview and wants to make a good impression. Her hair had heavy hair spray which was offensive to me and I have since combed it out some and it looks a lot better. WHY ALL THE HAIR SPRAY??? Silkstone hair is lovely stuff and there is no need to spray it. It’s almost like glue. They even dripped some glue on the doll’s chest.
The handbag now is another story. It’s very nice and also metallic gold and very sheek and stylish along with the sunglasses. Well there you have it. It’s a pretty doll and if your thing is muted stones, conservative with lots of hair spray to keep the french twist in place, this is your cup of tea.

This is a really wonderful Silkstone Barbie doll. I collect all of the silkstone’s and was a little “on the fence” about purchasing this one. I am so pleased that I did! She is really wonderful in person-even my husband was impressed when I opened her. Photos do not capture her high quality and details.
