Barbie Hot Tub Party Bus Vehicle Play Set Uh-oh, has Barbie gotten herself into hot water? Yes, literally! Our leggy friend s latest acquisition is a party RV with built-in hot tub. Now, any time they want, Barbie and her pals (dolls not included) can call “road trip” and away they ll go. All the comforts of, well, a luxury hotel! The big pink bus opens up on one side to reveal kitchenette with stovetop, oven, microwave, fridge, sink, cabinets, and table. The second room is a combination living room/bedroom, with a sofa that expands to become a bed, closet, bookshelves, and lots of knick-knacks (boom box, potted plant, fuzzy pink pillows, etc.). There s also a bathroom behind the kitchen, complete with toilet (you can lift the seat), sink, shower, toilet roll, towel rack, and fabric towel. Exhausted by all these amenities? Open the outside wall of the RV to find, under a canopy, a hot tub with removable basin you can really add water for Barbie water play! Watch the lights flash and listen to the Jacuzzi bubbling, party music blaring, horn honking, and microwave beeping. There are so many small details and knick-knacks; girls will have no problem entertaining themselves for hours at a time with Barbie s RV. Requires three “AA” batteries (not included). –Emilie Coulter
Customer Review: Poorly made
I got this for my 4 yr old daughter for Christmas and it fell apart immediately. It is extremely poorly made like most toys nowadays. Anytime you move the vehicle something falls off. The hinges are not durable and fall off constantly and with putting them back on all the time they are wearing down and breaking off already. There are lots of little pieces that easily will get lost. Some of the pieces of the vehicle should have been built directly onto the vehcile rather then having the ability to pop on and off. I would have rather have paid more for a better quality toy for my daughter then this piece of junk. Wish the toy company’s would stop making cheap toys and start making toys like they use to.
Save your money and don’t buy this.
Customer Review: Barbie “fall apart” and “Poorly made” Party bus is a better name for this…
OMG! My 3 year old got this bus from her Aunt and Uncle for Christmas yesterday. Half of the pieces are already broken! One piece was broken before I could get the stickers all applied to the inside and out (which was really annoying I might add). The fold out components (namely the joints and the connections) are so poorly designed and it takes only one attempt to ruin their function. Also, the whole thing is definitely not designed for a 3 year old, or a 27 year old (me) to operate without breaking something. The hot tub is really hard to pull out from the side of the bus…and I am sure that part will fail in a few days as well.
Overall, I am really very disappointed with this bus. At first it seemed really neat, and there are components of it that are really cool (like the bathroom – minus the stupid shower head)… but it is really glitchy, and highly over priced for the quality. I will be calling Mattel’s customer service to complain about this tomorrow morning.
