Transformers Universe Deluxe Class Classic Series Action Figure – Autobot Prowl with Acid Blasters Universe Deluxe: Prowl is configured with a pair of white shoulder-mounted rockets, and is equipped with a black blaster rifle. The Universe Prowl is fairly loyal to the Gen 1 Prowl. His color scheme is based around his police markings, and his overall aesthetic seems to be influenced both by the Classics line and the Movie continuity figures. Prowl is distinguished by unwavering tenacity, and can generally be relied upon for expert tactical advice, but he is sometimes hindered by his overriding compulsion to find the logic within a given situation. At the beginning of Transformers: The Movie, Prowl was aboard a shuttle bound for Autobot City when the vessel was assaulted by a force of Decepticons. Attempting to repel a barrage of heavy fire, Prowl was destroyed after suffering a direct blast from Scavenger.
Customer Review: Another Love Letter to G1 Transformer Fans
This isn’t my favorite of the Classics line, but that in no way is a criticism of the product. Prowl is a wonderful homage to the character we all knew from the original Transformers cartoon, and articulated in ways the G1 toy never dreamed of. The “wings”, which are his doors, can be positioned freely, which is a real bonus.
On the down side, he feels a bit plastic-y and flimsy. His arms pop off, which is a feature designed to protect the toy in case too much force is applied, but it makes transformation frustrating. Also, his head sits up a little too high on his shoulders, but that’s completely minor.
Big bonus: his shoulder cannons can be displayed or tucked away, but they are no longer separate pieces, which means they won’t get lost! I heartily recommend it.
Customer Review: A great Homage
This figure is absolutely great! Prowl has always been one of my favorite characters and this figure rightly does him justice. The articulation is is good, the transformation is fairly easy, and level of detail is excellent. The head is and his door “wings” are probably the most G1 aspects about this Prowl. Both the head and the doors as wings are so spot on its almost scary. Also his shoulder mounted weapons have been nicely preserved in this figure. Without a doubt one of the must haves of the new Universe Line. Bottom line is don’t miss this figure. He hits stores in August but my advice is order him right now! After your done reading this.
Final Conlusion: Worth it. Buy it. No Worries.
