Electronic Treebeard Customer Review: To Refute the LIARS!
First off the detail in this figure is Awesome.
Enough of this mysterious mumbo-jumbo, the phrases he speaks are as follows:
“Tree? I am no tree. I am an Ent.”
“HrrMph. Little Orcs!”
“Hooooom. DON’T! Be hasty.”
“I told Gandalf I would keep you Safe. And Safe is where I’LL keep YOU!”
“Treebeard, some call me.”
The phrases are on a “randomizer”, so there is some element of supprise each time you pull the green branch that activates the speaking mechanism.
Also, on mine, when you activate the speaking action, the right eye does not light up, and didn’t still in the BOX! When I first got him. I would have returned him, if it weren’t for the fact that I had been waiting for close to TWO MONTHS for Amazon.com to get him to me. It still ticks me off a bit. But seeing as I use him for Display more than actually speaking or “interacting” with the other figures, it’s okay.
I have the Merry and Pippin that were released as a single figure in the TTT line, and they fit on Treebeard perfectly.
There is NO WAY you can toss him on the ground 99 times and have him PERFECT, Limbs might be intact, but overall quality must be severly lacking. Mine did fall off a shelf to no negative effect. Of course, he only fell about 5′ and had a fairly cushioned landing.
The Articulation is pretty good, especially considering that the movie Treebeard would not exactly be described as SPRY.
Give him a break. He’s Thousands of years old, and spends sometimes decades motionless. A little stiffness is to be expected.
His height, with the assembled branch is about 18″ or 19″, I got this taking a rough measurement with a ruler. For some idea 1′ (12″) is exactly at the bottom of his mouth, so you can look at the pictures and get an idea for yourself.
He is an excellent figure, and to see him displayed with the other figures is awesome.
He stands and displays very well.
I love him, and if you have the money to spend, it is a great investment.

Customer Review: Don’t listen to idiots!
…For starters, Treebeard is only 14″ inches tall, (a little over 1′ foot) it is not 24″ freaking inches! If it was that freaking big it wouldn’t even be close to the price it sells for and it would definitely not be “CHEAP!”.

Second, it does not come with Merry and Pippin nor any other figure(s) for that matter. It does not say over 400 words!!… MY GOD!!! No toy in the existence of the entire universe has ever said that many words before, good grief. Not to mention it would be the most annoying and laborious toy ever made. No one is going to sit there pressing the dang button over 1,000 times just to hope they would hear the word they wanted it to say, not to mention the time and money it would take from ToyBiz’s own pocket money to come up with a microchip that could hold that much and have to test each one on top of it!!

Also, you do not get the Two Towers DVD, or any DVD with it, nor do you get any coupon, rebate, or anything that would help pay for the DVD or any other DVD for that matter!!… Unless your ground is made of soft cloth no toy is going to take beating of 99 hits to the ground or any other hard surface and still be in good shape, …ToyBiz makes some of the [worst]toys in the durability department that I have ever seen or ever played with. I have never had so many toys in my life that were made by ToyBiz that didn’t either break, or were defective right out of the package like I have with ToyBiz toys. Almost every Marvel figure I have ever bought has already been broken or came with a loose leg, arm or head, or it’s paint job scratched off so easy. Weapons would always be bent or made of rubber rather then plastic, or cheap plastic that would crack or break if you so much as stepped on it. My biggest gripe as of late has been on many of the Lord of the Rings figures. Most recently being the Pelennor Fields Aragorn, Anduril is so cheaply made it’s heartbreaking! I mean this is the sword that destroyed Sauron, and they make it out of such a very cheap plastic, that mine is already broken, and it was broken when I bought it in the package! I had to return it for a second one. Not to mention the paint job, which [is bad.] The color is all wrong to begin with and every time I sheath it, more and more paint chips off. I could go on and on. My Gimli’s legs cracked inside when pressing them together for his action feature cause of dried paint on the joints, my Gandalf the Grey no longer lights up cause the prongs broke off in the staff, Boromir’s head fell off, Merry’s joints won’t move cause of dried paint or glue, Twilight Ringwraith’s sword is no longer silver but blue cause of cheap paint, Aragorn’s bag that fits over him the rubber straps have broken and are not repairable, and the most painful is my 12″ Legolas, first his joints are so loose that it’s impossible for him to stand, I have had 2 of them now and they both came like this out of the box, and his bow broke. So don’t tell me you going to throw a toy from ToyBiz on the ground 99 times and still have it looking 100% fine.
