Army War College and the General Staff.  In 1905, President Roosevelt appointed him Secretary of State.  In 1909, it was served as U. S. senator from New York, until 1915.  For his work on arbitration to bring nations together and co Root received the Nobel Peace Prize. A († 1937-91 years)
