Both my girls enjoy this train set. It’s easy for them to set up and take apart on their own. They use all the pieces and even add some of their LEGO buildings to create little villages. It’s well constructed and durable.
Customer Review: Cheap for a reason
I was very disappointed in the Maxim product line, which is made in China. Wood is very light-weight and is able to be scratched with the fingernail, unlike the Brio set I grew up with. The connectors on the tracks are unevenly cut and the saw cuts actually extend into the body of the track. Some of the pieces are also difficult to fit together. We decided to return ours despite having to pay shipping both ways. Price is cheap for a reason – poor materials and poor craftsmanship.

As with all legos, they are fragile when asssembled and can be complicated during assembly. There more for the joy of building and looking at afterward. Imagination required for full enjoyment! Star Wars sets are the best.

Ugh, this is still not the correct size doll as this one is just too huge, but at least it’s bigger than the 12″ Mario doll my other son has and I can stop buying these dolls.

As with the other 12 inch Luigi doll, this doll has iron-on eyes, “L” and yellow buttons, which I detest as they rub off/chip/peel. I’m also not sure why they didn’t tack down the sideburns, but they stick up and look like wings.
